Terrible hotel - AVOID!! Our room smelt strongly of cigarette smoke, the shower mat towel was soaking wet on arrival, the power shower did not provide hot water despite trying all settings for some time and there was no soap for washing. We were also disturbed several times in the night by a group of very loud drunk people who managed to lock themselves out of their room and spent a long time vomiting in the communal toilet adjacent to our room with the toilet door left open. There were no staff on site to which I could notify of the various issues.

Isolated and shabby. The check in was disorganised but at least the cleaner didn't mind us dropping our bags off before check in. The property is not very nice and unwelcoming. If I had known what it is like I would not have stayed.

The place would have been fine if it had heat, I slept all night with my jacket on because the radiator wasn't working. The curtains didn't close properly and the bath trim was falling off.

Overnight Stay
The accommodation was a room in a shared house. It was ensure however the warm water in the shower didn’t work so couldn’t shower in the morning. Room was basic with double bed, tv and tea:coffee facilities. As it was a shared house there was a lot of noise from neighbouring guests. This is really basic accommodation and ok if you just need somewhere to crash.

I booked this b&b online as the pictures of the interior were lovely. When we arrived at the property it took me 3 times driving past to realise this was the place we were looking for. The outside looks like a drug den or an empty house. The windows were rotten the garden was full of thistles it was a dump outside no signage of any description. We were totally taken aback and it was not a place we wanted to stay. The inside is probably lovely and if the owners has explained that the house was under refurbishment and the outside was not to be put off by then this would have probably not have put me off so much as not to stay at all.

If you pay peanuts don't expect the Rit you get what you pay for. The accommodation was adequate but small, the toilet in the ensuite was dangerous. Ok day on it and nearly fell off because the seat was very loose and I could have really hurt myself. The place was clean and tidy and you have the use of the kitchen lounge and conservatory, but beware of other guests, they are not all considerate and we were women up at 5am by some one coming in drunk and then deciding to have a shower, and proceeded to do so whilst whistling and singing. As this is an unattended facility, you have no one to complain to about inconsiderate guests, and one thing that is not advisable is to approach drunken strangers and ask them to be quiet, you never know how they may react. They also left the remains of Pizza and another takeaway meal on the table in the conservatory when the kitchen bin was no more than 15 get away. Personaly, I will avoid this type of accommodation in the future, to many things can go wrong.

Comfortable short stay
Comfortable stay. The room was clean and well presented. There are shops and takeaways opposite and it is in a good location for the motorways. Would stay again.

My other half booked the hotel as he had brought us tickets to see Paloma Faith. The location and price of the hotel were great, would definitely stay again.

OK for 1 night
The room was small but clean, there were tea and coffee making facilities in room although there is a strict 'no food' rule. The ensuite was reasonably clean, the toilet seat was broken and the water pressure in the shower was terrible. We were only staying overnight and didn't spend much time in the room, for this purpose it suited our needs. The 'garden view' was via a heavily frosted bathroom window!

Beware other inconsiderate guests!
On arrival we were disappointed by the lack of parking spaces & the failure to be made aware of this, we had to park in a nearby street instead. In attempting to enter the property we had difficulty accessing the key safe which was sorted via a phone call as no one is on site. The house appeared nicely decorated with period features, 6 bedrooms, kitchen and lounge area. However, we did not get to look around downstairs much as there was already a group of people taking over there drinking alcohol by 4.30pm. Instead we went straight to our room (5) which was quite small and dark but clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. We had en-suite facilities - the shower was hot but with little pressure. There are many rules as to what you can and cannot do - funniest being you were not allowed to use the cooker or prepare food in the kitchen! A shame all residents did not read these rules, especially the one requesting minimal noise and consideration to other guests. I think all the other guests knew each other and were using the place as a weekend party pad. There was a lot of noise until 10.30pm which ended with a loud bang of the front door and everyone seemed to have gone, unfortunately they all came back around 3am and very loud noise continued until we decided to leave at 6am. We stayed the night hoping to relax in preparation for taking part in the Cardiff half marathon the next day, this obviously didn't go to plan & we wish we had never stayed.

The room was clean. Tea and coffee was available in the room. The bed was uncomfortable. Kitchen looked lovely but most of the appliances were out of bounds. Hated the key safe system. Hated the lack of a staff member on site. I did not see anyone at all throughout my stay. I heard people in the other rooms.

Adequate, but could be better...
The room was relatively clean. The beds were cheaply constructed but adequate. On the night we stayed the common rooms were occupied by chatty guests preparing for a wedding which made sleeping in impossible. Overall it was an okay experience, but if I were staying in the area again I'd probably choose another place.

Nice guesthouse close to transport links
Room lovely, staff efficient when speaking to them. The problem I had is I was in an ensuite room with no hot water so I had to shower elsewhere later on in the day, check out time is quite early and bedsheet could have been changed as was quite rough. All in all though I would stay again, due to the look of room and great bus links into the city.

Fanstatic for the price. It is easy to get into the hotel if you follow the instructions. The room I had was with an ensuite and although small it was clean. Bedding was clean. I did not use the facilities downstairs. Just make sure you don't lock your self out as the hotel is unmanned.

Lovely guesthouse in a quiet area
Beautiful, boutique style of the guesthouse, very quiet and clean. It felt as I was there on my own. Right opposite Sainsburies. The only downside, it is located away from the centre.

AVOID, this isn't a hotel but someone's home
Where do I start? I arrived there @ around 7pm, it's advertised that the check in time is until 9pm, but, to my surprise there was no one there. I knocked at the door, waited & waited in the rain until another guest arrived, felt sorry for me and invited me to wait in the lobby. This guest gave me the number of someone I could contact to get the key to my room. Over 1h after I arrived I managed to get into my room. I booked a "garden view room' , but the view from my room was to the side road and busy road in front, no garden view in any way or form. The description says it has desk, but this again is NOT the case: nor desk or chair.I found myself working on the bedside table, sending emails sitting on the floor. One of the most laughable things is the kitchen, yes as advertise there is a kitchen, but it's a case of "look but don't touch", the guests are allowed to walk by! but they are NOT allowed to use the kitchen, so what's the point!??.There isn't daily housekeeping, or housekeeping at all! The rooms are only clean once the guest leaves, so anything that you might need it's up to you (toilet paper, towels, and other things I ended up buying). This is NOT a hotel,wouldn't even call it a guest house, someone has decided to put some locks on the rooms of a student house and advertise it on these websites to make some extra cash. Then they charged me extra (without my knowledge) for using a debit card, & sent me an invoice with "credit Card charges",I paid with a debit card!

would not stay there again - very unwelcoming. Accommodation fine in the main but no hospitality ! couldnt get in initially, no warning of a key safe, no reception, no friendly interaction, dodgy keys which i was warned might not open the doors - who needs that ! no back up if I couldnt get in as no one available to help !! no hangers in wardrobe, tap dripped all night in bathroom, also very unwelcoming list of fines that I might incur should I transgress any of the rules !! oh yes and no breakfast !!

Scam artists.
Be careful when staying here. I was charged 100 pound for smoking in the room when I don't even smoke. They took it out of my account without even asking or saying anything to me. I am presently disputing this and it's crazy if I don't get my money back. Be careful.

Misleading description, utterly awful stay
Oh dear, where do I start? I booked and paid in advance for 3 nights. The room was supposed to be a 'Premium Room, 1 Double Bed, Garden View (Ensuite)'. I wasn't expecting luxury but a clean simple budget guest house. PLUS POINTS: good communication/instructions, it was very clean and warm, with good wifi and nice communal areas. However my room (No.5) was shockingly bad. They had managed to squeeze in a double bed, just, leaving a tiny space I could barely move around. And the 'garden view'? Well there was no window at all in the room, but a glazed door to a tiny shower room which did have a very small, but opaque window - so no view at all. With the bathroom door shut it was claustrophobic, with the door open there were loud noises from the plumbing. Advertised facilities included 'a desk', no desk but just a shelf just big enough for a kettle. Also the 'shared/communal kitchen' which looked fine, but the instructions said you weren't allowed to cook in it! Pointless and misleading. The bed was ok but the sheet was awful - old, rough & scratchy, the most uncomfortable I have ever attempted to sleep in. In the morning I tried to take a shower - pathetic water pressure and NO HOT WATER! They offered to move me, but I couldn't risk the bedding/water situation and couldn't face another night there. No refund was offered nor have they done the right thing since. (I expected them to refund at least 2 nights if not all 3 nights). A truly horrible experience.

Went to Cardiff for a short stay. the hotel was about 15 mins from the city centre by car, which was good. Nice, clean and comfy bed and room. Shower wasn't brilliant but was hot.

Interesting unmanned hitel business model.
Caught me by surprise of how this hotel is being run. No staff but it works. Internet TV system may not be apprecuated by some customers. Managed to get ut working to watch YouTube. Couldn't get the Netflixto wotk though.

Booking was ok, but it does not make it clear that this is not a hotel. It's just a house that's been converted into a number of bedrooms. Toilet and shower are shared. There's no breakfast. The rooms are not serviced between sleeps, so the refreshments (tea bags & coffee) need to last for the whole stay. Parking is a nightmare. Ok if you arrive early, but you have to park on the main road if you arrive later.

The guest house was clean and easy to access. The room had comfortable beds and a nice lounge and conservatory area for eating your own food. Knives, forks, cups etc provided. Good value for money. I would happily stay again

Excelllent place.
Perfect place. Very clean and with an excellent facilities. The location is only 15 mins by bus to the city centre and is surrounded by a lot of places to grab a bite to eat. Our stay was peace and quiet and the sizes of the room are very spacious. Definitely will stay again.

When we arrived although the welcome was friendly, there had been a mix up with the room the lady told us we were staying in. We were kept waiting for quite a while in the process of this being sorted, during which she walked into what was supposed to be our room, only to find it very definitely occupied. The fact there were still tools lying around on the floor where someone had clearly been decorating was a bit off putting as well, to be honest. Also, it says on here that there is an optional continental breakfast available at £3.50 per person, this is not the case so this needs to be removed from the website to avoid further confusion. Room was clean and tidy apart from a couple of marks - one on the bed and one on the floor. Bathroom was very clean - hot water was rather temperamental though!

Visiting Cardiff to attend special dinner. .
Did not receive the code giving us access until later that day. But very kind lady came to let us in. Sorry but we had trouble with the shower and were unable to use it. We were unable to unplug the basin after using it and difficulty in flushing the toilet. The room needs either a chair or at least a stool. Also the TV we found difficult to operate. Room very clean and beds comfortable.We enjoyed the biscuits given with the tea etc.,
