“we enjoyed this property so much that we want to come back ASAP !!! it simply had everything we needed for a getaway. the kitchen was stocked with plenty of cooking tools and we loved the overall layout of the house !!! would be comfortable to travel with another couple or kids. we stayed on the deck the entire time !!! if we were going to say one thing that was missing, it would be an outside TV and fan (for the summer) !!! but wow just wow we had a great time and great stay !!!”

“My husband and I celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary and truly enjoyed our stay! The Retro Villa was clean, neat, and fully stocked with plenty of necessities. Our favorite spot in the villa was the deck with an incredible view to the Marina.We visited the beach, shopped, and experienced a relaxing and informative boat tour on the Cape Fear River. The weather was nice and atmosphere was extremely relaxing for our trip. We didn’t hesitate to share the news with family and friends and look……

“The boat is in a great location right on the ICW..Enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the boats go by. Beds were comfortable. We had 3 people, 2 slept in stern bedroom and one in the bow. Really fun way to spend a weekend rather than a motel.. Short drive to restaurants and beach. Quarters were a little tight but manageable for our group of 3. We will do it again when we get back to Wilmington. ”

“This is probably one of the best vacation rental experiences I have ever had. On our way down the host alerted us to a change in parking due to President Biden being in town. The houseboat is fully stocked with everything you need. We really enjoyed sitting on the upstairs deck, taking in the beautiful views of the water. We were attending a concert at Live Oak Pavilion which was just a short walk away. So convenient to great restaurants and shops. I highly recommend The Basics on Front St. for……
