What are Activities?

You can customize your trip with activities, attractions, services, and more in over 500 destinations. Pre-book airport parking, ground transportation, theater tickets, theme park tickets, sightseeing tours, historical excursions, water activities, lift tickets, ski or snowboard rentals, travel insurance (in select locations), and more.

Where in the world are Activities found?

Activities, attractions, services, and more can be found in over 500 destinations around the world, including the United States, Mexico, the Caribbean, Europe, and Asia. Activities, attractions, and services are added to new locations every day. Get to your hotel from the airport via a shuttle or private car in most major cities; experience a Cirque du Soleil show in Las Vegas; see a Broadway show in New York City; explore the Louvre in Paris; learn to surf in Hawaii; treat the family to a Walt Disney vacation in Orlando or Anaheim; travel to Stonehenge from London; dive with sharks in the Bahamas; snorkel around the Great Barrier Reef in Australia; go wine-tasting in Napa Valley or Venice; relax on a sunset cruise in Los Cabos. Whether you're searching for an adrenaline rush or a means to relax, you can pre-book an activity to make your trip more enjoyable.

Booking Activities

  • Book Activities, Attractions, and More as you book your flight, hotel, or package: To book an activity, attraction, or other service, first book your flight, hotel, or package. Click on the "Continue with booking. I have read and accept the rules and restrictions" link to proceed to the Activities search page. Select the activity's checkbox and, if applicable, select the number of people who will participate in the activity. You may also be asked to select the date you wish to participate in the activity or attraction. Then, click the Reprice button located at the bottom of the page and continue booking your itinerary.

    At times, activities may be pre-selected for your convenience. If you'd like to continue without adding the pre-selected activity, simply uncheck the box and continue booking your itinerary.

    Some activities are included by default and cannot be removed from your flight, hotel, or package itinerary. Please be sure to review all activities before you continue booking your itinerary.

  • Add activities to an existing flight, hotel, or package itinerary: If you have already purchased your flight, hotel, or package but want to add activities to your itinerary, you have three options:


    • You may access your itinerary via the My Itineraries link, located on the Expedia home page. Click on the itinerary you would like add activities to and scroll to the bottom of the page to access the Search for activities, attractions, and more link. Click on this link to view and book activities that are available during your travel dates.

    • After you book your flight, hotel, or package you will receive an Expedia confirmation email. Scroll to the bottom of the email to access the Search for activities, attractions, and more link. Click on this link to view and book activities that are available during your travel dates.

    • You may purchase activities and attractions before or after you have booked your flight, hotel, or package. Click on the Activities tab, enter your destination and travel dates, and click on the Select button. Please see the Book activities at any time section below for more information.


  • Book activities at any time: You may purchase activities before or after you have booked your flight, hotel, or package. Click on the Activities tab and enter your destination and travel dates (optional). You will be presented with a list of all activities and attractions available during your travel dates. To learn more about a specific activity, attraction, or service, simply click on the activity title, the image, or the "More …" link.

    To book an activity, select the checkbox (when applicable) and indicate the number of people who will participate in the activity. If you have not already entered specific travel dates, you will be asked to enter them. You may also be asked to select the specific date you wish to participate in the activity or attraction. Then, click the Select this activity link to continue booking your activity. You will be presented with a summary of the activity you have just selected. At this time, you will have the ability to add additional activities. When you are ready to complete your booking, click the Book selected activities link.

Activities details

To learn more about a specific activity, attraction, or service, simply click on the activity title, the image, or the "More …" link. The activity description generally includes the following information:

  • Price
  • Detailed description
  • Images of the activity
  • Available dates and times
  • Activity duration
  • Departure and return information
  • Inclusions
  • Redemption instructions
Note: If you purchase an activity and attraction, you are required to print an Expedia voucher and bring it with you on your trip. Learn more about Expedia vouchers under "Viewing and printing your vouchers" below.

Viewing and printing your vouchers

After you purchase an activity, attraction, or service, you must print an Expedia voucher and take it with you on your trip. Each activity you purchase will have its own voucher. One voucher per person is required unless otherwise noted. Your voucher is your proof of purchase; service may not be rendered if you do not present one unique voucher per person at the time of your activity. You must take your voucher with you and present it at the redemption location indicated on the voucher. Vouchers are valid only for the listed travelers.

To print your vouchers from the purchase confirmation page, simply click View and print your vouchers.

You can also print your vouchers from your itinerary. This is particularly helpful if you do not have immediate access to a printer. To view your itinerary, go to the My Itineraries folder on the Expedia home page. Once in your itinerary, click View vouchers in your Activities and Attractions summary.

Can I buy activities later?

Activities and attractions may be purchased at a later time from your existing online itinerary. Anytime after completing your flight, hotel, or package purchase, access your online itinerary from the My Itineraries page, and click on the Add activities and attractions link. You may also click on the Activities tab and enter your destination and travel dates to search for the activities, attractions, services, and more that are available during your travel dates. Please click here for more information on how to book activities at any time.

Why don't I see the same activities as before?

If you change your travel dates, some activities and attractions may not appear in the search results because they are not available on those dates. Other activities and attractions have a limited availability and may sell out quickly. Additionally, some activities—including rafting, mountain biking, lift tickets, and ski rentals—are seasonal and are only available at certain times of the year.

Receiving your vouchers via express delivery

If you do not have access to a printer, you can call Expedia at 1-800-EXPEDIA or 1-404-728-8787 and request delivery of your vouchers. Vouchers will arrive via express delivery service within two to three business days, excluding weekends and holidays. Expedia charges a nonrefundable US$19.99 shipping and handling fee for printing and delivering vouchers. This fee will be charged to your credit card when the vouchers are shipped.
