Nice spot in a tiny town. Pillows were awful. Try to bring your own if you can. Shower was great. Roku TV was awesome instead of having basic cable. Staff I interacted with was friendly.

The motel was lovely. An older building that has been updated with care. Unfortunately guests in the next room arrived just before 11 pm, were very loud and then had their TV playing loudly. The walls between rooms must be very thin. We have to be up and on the road very early so the noise was very frustrating for us

The water from all faucets was yellowish and the pillows were 3' by 2' by 2" and much too large to sleep on. It made for a tough night of sleep.

We were one of two families at the hotel. There was no staff, but a lockbox in which we found our room key. It was like the twilight zone in that there was nobody around.

First time using a hotel with no front clerk. This was super easy. The communication is excellent. The hotel & our room was extremely clean. Beds were comfy. Pet friendly for a small service fee. Refrigerator, microwave, Keurig in the room. Felt very safe. I would stay here again.

Hotel has virtual check-in, so nobody on site to approach for help. Had to get past the feeling of low security based on that. Not a congested area, and near a gas station and some restaurants, so not scary enough for us to leave. We were assigned a room toward the end of the hall. There was a door to the outside near us, but it was locked and marked Emergency Only. It would have been way more convenient to be able to use that door. Instead we had to carry everything from the front door the full length of the hallway. That being said. Room was nice and texting w hotel admin was responsive and concerned. No broadcast TV in realtime except the news (Roku only). The housekeeper admin sent to help at my request figured out how to watch CBS programming in real time (w my own xfinity account) and it only worked for CBS. My more unfortunate experience was taking my dogs out at 4 am, when the front door is locked. I couldn't get the code to work to get back in. (and it was freezing cold!). Admin said they can open the door remotely, but I didn't have my phone with me to contact them. (My husband let me in.). They apologized and did trouble shooting with me about what went wrong. There is a button to push in addition to putting the code in (like most hotel doors work with a key). Recommend that you familiarize yourself with the process of opening the locked door. Thought I had unlocked the door when we first arrived, but learned that it was already open at that time.

I make several trips per year from Michigan to Missouri for work and this is the hotel i love to stay at. It is always clean, quiet and a very nice room. I love the self service check in. This hotel is the best place i have stayed and i will always stay here whe i travel to Missouri.

It’s like a roadside inn of yore! It is absolutely the cleanest, newest place I have stayed in a long time. I just spent the last 3 nights at two different HI Express and I would take this place in a minute over them! No breakfast or vending but. For a place to sleep it’s absolutely the best value out there. Check out their website as it sounds like they are new and have very few locations. Great experience but don’t judge it when you first pull up! It’s just different from other places but it’s a good different!
