"The adult section of the property was very nice. I do wish there was staff that spoke a little more English it was sometimes difficult to understand. Although o used a translator i was still able to communicate. Staff was friendly and very attentive. "

"Loved the location, staff, comfort of room, nice quality linens and bedding. My room, 418 needs renovations. I understand there are other rooms that are in much better condition. "We had a four nights stay at Hotel Bakoua, and we loved the proximity to the ocean and the coconut bar where you could get drinks and food during the day while you were on the beach! Loungers and umbrellas on the beach were really nice and the beach was clean and not crowded. The hotel was a little old and needed some updates. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms and showers were nice although there was a drought and we didn’t have water one night! They gave us plenty of bottled water!...

"We arrived from our flight at the desk and the room was suppose to be available starting from 3pm. At 3h15 the time we arrived, the room was not ready with no approximate time to when it would be available. The desk clerk seemed to find that normal and even had an attitude when we were surprised that it was not ready. The internet wifi was off for more then 24h. With no way to know when it would come back and again for them that was no problem. Coming from canada we don't have the same phone...

"There is literally no road to this hotel. The staff was kind but there's nothing to do in the area. The bay close by is super dirty and smelly. When I arrived at 11am from the airport, the rude staff refused to allow me to leave my suitcase, relax by the pool or even remain on the property until the official check-in time of 3pm, unless I sat in the bar.
