Very out dated old furniture in room looked like from the 80tys windows leaked in the heavy rain running my clothes in my case that was under the window the corridors smelled damp not very fresh at all would I stay there again it's a big no the only part that was good the view from the garden across the loch

This property is a short cab or bus ride out of fort william. Beautiful views from room and dinning area. Although out of the centre of town dinner prices were reasonable and the food was good. We booked the bed and breakfast option and breakfast was buffet style with good options. Staff were friendly and helpful.

I like that the beddings are unscented. I like the parking facilities. I did not like the smell of the chairs in our room, I like everything unscented.

We found the place tired and in need of general maintenance. The roof is having essential repairs done but there is much more needed all throughout. The company that owns the place needs to spend some of the money they are raking in. The staff were very good though.

Lovely overnight stay while on our travels. Bed comfy and views from our view stunning. The staff were helpful and friendly. We were traveling with our dog and she was made welcome too.

Very run down and the staff doesn’t seem to care about making you feel comfortable. Elevators were broken when I arrived and I was traveling alone. I had to climb 4 flights of stairs with my suitcase and bags and no one offered to help. My room felt sparse and dated. And the lighting was so poor in the bathroom I had to get ready in the bedroom instead. The walls were so thin I could hear my neighbors phone buzzing and voices from rooms down the hall. Also it’s quite a far walk to downtown where all the restaurants and shops are. And the hotel restaurant only seats people if they have a pre booked reservation. I watched an older couple get turned away at dinner. And the restaurant wasn’t even half full. Worst hotel of my 2 week trip. Glad I was only there 2 nights. Definitely keep looking.

The attendant at the front desk was not helpful at all. He was rude and acted like we were on a military base. Due to two car wrecks we were late arriving. Having tried to call ahead several to let the hotel know why we were late we gave up as no one would pick up. When we asked about food we were told the food service stopped 17 minutes before we arrived. I’ve been to Scotland many times and have never received such poor treatment. At this point I’d prefer sleeping in my car over staying at The Caledonian!
