"We loved the cozy living room and amazing screen porch. There was plenty of space for our two young kids, us, and my sister! There was a huge and super comfy sectional sofa and a great fireplace that we made an awesome fire in with the firewood that the hosts left for us. We had a great time hanging out in the house since it rained most of the weekend and was pretty cold. When it did clear up a little, the view from the dock was gorgeous! Had we not had two small children and our dog running...

"We've stayed at many VRBOs and this adorable cottage ranks very high on our list! It was the cleanest place we've ever stayed and we really appreciated all of the extra towels and cozy blankets. The hot tub and fire pit were fun evening activities, and the smart tvs came loaded with many of our favorite programs. "This place was amazing. It was a perfect getaway spot for two. The area offers a lot of recreation opportunities, and the cabin offers plenty of relaxation opportunities, the best of both. The only negatives, the water heater desperately needs a sulfur treatment. The hot water smells so bad. "This is most likely due to the wildlife sanctuary the property is located on, but the ticks were insane! You need to be aware of this and check your dogs and yourselves frequently. I hope the neighborhood is able to do something about this issue. I am not someone who ever complains but it warrants a less than perfect review. The only reason I did not give 5 stars for everything. Otherwise, I highly recommend staying here."

"This was a last minute booking. One snafu with Vacasa with them not being able to verify my ID via DL but with a quick phone call that was corrected. The home itself is nice and has plenty of space and amenities. The decibel reader is a little off-putting but I understand with VA laws being the way they are. Overall, it was a nice stay."

"Property was spacious and views were beautiful! Plenty of space for my family. The house could use some upgrades, but as Scott has mentioned, the price then goes up as well. And you are in a beautiful location, and did I mention the views?! While it is a steep climb down and back up to the water, you're right on the water. There is a canoe and paddle boat, which we used on our stay without a problem. We did buy our own life jackets at a Walmart. The Foosball table was a hit for our family....
