Upon arriving to the hotel, there was a strong mildew, musty smell in the lobby. It was undeniable. We proceeded to the elevator which didn’t look clean on the inside either. This really scared me because I thought it was indicative of what the room looked like. The actual suite looked nice from afar but up close, it was in need of a deep cleaning. There was someone’s hair in the sink and fridge. The floors were sticky and in need of a good sweep. So instead of unpacking, we bought cleaning supplies to make ourselves more comfortable. I believe that the property area was safe and I loved how close to restaurants it was. I do wish there more overhead lights in the rooms as well as tvs.

Decent place
It was a good location for the Miami Marathon, but the couch was so dirty. Otherwise decent place but a bit pricy for what you get. Not easy Beach access but ok good bus lines. Great food trucks! Needs a good clean.

Unfortunately the strong cleaners used made the place smell awful, and the floors had a slick film throughout. The couch and living room chair were stained and dirty and one towel had black spots which was off putting. There was a loud buzzing noise the first night that made it hard to sleep and walls are thin - second night a family with kids next door were very loud. The property needs updating and seems a bit run down.

Ok all in all
We stayed at Sonder for the second half of our family vacation. At first glance, the property was great. However, we had to keep washing our feet and changing socks after noticing our toddler's feet were extremely dirty. I am not sure when the property's floor has had a deep cleaning, or even a mopping. This also goes for the upholstery, especially the foot stools. Then, there was the issue with not having streaming but having Chromecast instead. Lastly, the sink should be moved closer to the faucet in the bathroom. There is not enough space to wash your hands traditionally. Everything else was nice- comfortable beds, great location, and decent pricing.

The Sonder Palace was a great location in Wynwood area. It was central to get to many popular visited spots in Miami overall. The property is extremely secured and I felt very safe. The unit was spacious for myself and 3 others to just store our stuff, bath and sleep. Perfect for a quick trip to MIA if you plan not to be in the unit much. I was a little disappointed though with the obvious lack of TLC inside the unit (needs a touchup paint badly, door handles were pretty beat up, the shower curtain was torn where the rod holds it) also there seemed to be a fruit fly/gnat issue in the bathroom. I would try my luck and stay here again mostly because of the safe feeling and convenience.
