"Wantara is a little haven in the city--- unique gardens, tastefully designed apartments (they thought of everything---including really comfy down pillows and duvets), and a good location with easy access to historic Quito. But the real treasures are the hosts. Both Wolfgang and Yannick were not only hosts but instant friends looking our for us---there to help navigate the city and give us great advice about how to best spend our time. Yannick gave us his WhatsApp and more than once helped get us...

"We loved our week in Quito. Yannik, Gina, Wolfgang and Annemarie answered all of our questions about where to go and what to see. They arranged a driver (Cristobal - 5 stars!) to take us to see places outside of the city and made sure we got back from the soccer game safely! With everything going on in Ecuador, we never felt unsafe on our trip. Thank you!"

"This place is beautiful, well kept, and clean. We felt so fortunate to meet the friendly and helpful owners, Wolfgang and Annemarie. What a pleasant surprise that was!
I’m a wheelchair user (I can walk some) and would hesitate to recommend this place to anyone who has difficulty walking. The entrance is not wheelchair friendly and the most accessible room is multilevel without hand rails."

"Beautiful unit with a European vibe, stunning gardens, walking distance to the heart of the historic centre and the friendliest hosts. Safe and secure, fully equipped kitchen, tastefully decorated and very comfortable."
"Location is on the square so our driver called the hotel to have the bellman come and get our luggage. He came running down the street and then walked us back to our hotel. Hotel is quaint old school with fancy woodwork everywhere. A gem in Quito. Highly recommended. "
"Amazing staff, food, view of cotopaxi, fireplace
My only feedback is investing in having quieter rooms because i can still hear others. Also, have more signs in the park to make it easier to find the hotel"
"Gorgeous power, beautiful rooms. Charges for additional water above the small 2 bottles provided daily, which is laughable considering the cost of the hotel room.
Breakfast was fabulous."

"Great place to stay. Spacious room, clean, nice gym, restaurant open late, quiet, good water pressure. Only wish the gym had a water cooler/jug and towels. Towels were not always available or out"
