"Our room at Wagon Wheel was great. Walls and ceilings are all wood. Nice work on the carpentry. I guess we called it rustic modern. Kitchenette had a 2 burner glass top stove, fridge, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. Silverware, dishes and pots and pans are available. Important to remember is to bring your own food. Jayne had called us to remind us there are no stores in Wasta, just a bar. Bathroom was well-stocked with towels. Bedding was very nice and soft. My back would've loved a pillow top mattress. Our reasons for visiting Wasta was to get away from Rapid City, a new moon which meant darker skies and the railroad bridge minutes away. We waited to be able to shoot the milky way. We had a little trouble re-entering the room at midnight due to our own failings. But we finally got back in. Make sure to get comfortable using the lock system :). Highly recommend this motel for those who want an exceptionally clean room and quiet property. Our room didn't have a smoke detector that I noticed. However, there are at least 3 fire extinguishers right outside. The back deck was great and flower baskets added to the overall look of the property. "
