"We first stayed at Bongani Mountain Lodge 15 years ago and returned when we saw it on special over new year. Not much has changed in 15 years. We had a nice time - the food was good and our ranger and tracker were pleasant and informative. I would not rate this lodge as luxury. The room, with a queen size bed, had seen better days and with the thatch roof and poor choice of tiles it always seemed a bit grubby. The game viewing is not great. Andy the owner gave us the best panoramic advice for our touring and he made sure we saw the Big 5 and more on the safari we booked with him to KNP. "Self catering unit, very clean, well speced and in lovely mountainous setting. A table would have been nice to eat my dinner, but as a new unit, I hope that will be quickly rectified. I will definitely stay again. (The orange I pinched from the orchard outside my room was the sweetest I have tasted in a long while) - (don't tell the owner!)"
