Saint George’s Hotel was the perfect spot as a solo traveler. Arriving via tram from the central train station was incredibly easy and quick. (It’s really walkable too if you don’t have heavy luggage.) I felt safe in the area at all hours, and most welcome by the staff upon checking in. Having the option of breakfast was so helpful given my busy schedule on some days. I especially love that there are so many restaurants mere steps from the hotel, plus many more conveniences within a few minutes walk (including Starbucks! - Yes I’m a basic American traveler in that way.). The access to trams and subways nearby make this location perfect for whatever you might have planned in Zurich. Saint George’s was a great choice. The only challenge was a lot of construction noise nearby. However, I walked through much of the city and there seemed to be construction in every neighborhood so I’m not sure that could be avoided.

One of the ladies working there, I don't know the name, but I felt belittled by her. I had a leftover food in the container and asked her if I could use the microwave to warm up the food for my breakfast. She didn't even know what I had, but refused to warm it up for me saying that they don't do the warming the food up anymore while people are having breakfast since it could smell. A little later, I met up with my friends at the lobby, and my friend's brother asked her to warm the food and she did it for him. I felt she did that to me since I was an Asian assuming that what I had would smell. I really felt terrible, but didn't want to make a scene but this is terrible. Also, elevator was not working so we had to bring our suitcases down from the 4th floor.

Lovely hotel with a real charm and simplicity. The staff was very kind and made us feel right at home. The breakfast spread was incredible. Clean room with a amazingly comfortable, form bed. Would gladly stay here again!
