"loved our stay "

The six of us loved our room very comfortable with the two bedroom/two baths. Our room had everything we needed and was very clean. There was some construction at the resort but it didn’t bother our stay, a little road construction on the street entrance but it’s everywhere you go. Very close to the strip. Front desk was helpful with flight pre check in. Grocery store was close as you had a full kitchen. resort had shuttles to strip. We rented a car good parking close to room. Overall I"d highly recommend this resort, and would stay there when going back. PBR fans from Washington

"friendly resort"

we stayed at summer bay resorts oct9th-16th found the staff at the resort extremley friendly and helpful. They had a shuttle that would take you to las vegas blvd, but must say the walk was not a bad one maybe 10 minutes, the area coming back at nite is not the best to walk alone but we found if we came out of harrahs and walked that road it had more light so it wasn"t as dark s some of the other roads. They had shuttles to other casinos you could take, we did take the one to the rio for it buffet, excellent. We needed a few things for the room called down and within ten minutes someone came with the things requested, the only thing we had asked for a newer room near the pool but it wasn"t a newer room and the rugs weren’t that clean. but I think with the improvements they are making, adding a grocery and coffee shop will make a hugh difference and even without these things I would stay there again as it was well kept, quite and if you want to be in the night life your a short distance

must see jersey boys and Le Reve both fantastic

Run down

This hotel/time share was a big disappointment. It was very run down and there were several non-working items in the room: the shower didn’t work; the water never got hot and the toilet didn’t flush properly.

comfortable and safe

We just returned from having a wonderful family reunion. The location of the pool being so close to our room was great. The kids loved it. We felt very safe and everyone was friendly. There is construction going on so make sure you request a newly remodeled unit. We were in building nine.

Family reunion

We had requested special accomodations, my parents needed to be on the first floor and we wanted rooms close to each other. When we arrived, one room was not on the first floor and the representative at the desk assured us that it would be accomodated, which it was. The facilites were perfect for us and all of the family had a wonderful, memorable vacation.

Great Family Hotel

If you need a a spacious suite and don’t mind not being on the strip then this is the place to stay at. We went to a wedding last weekend and 6 of us booked 2 nights here. Everything was well kept and clean, The pool is open 24 hours which is a plus. I highley recommend this hotel.

Stay elsewhere

We stayed at this hotel last year. It had flat screen t.v’s and very nice pools. We went back this year. Mistake. Room was nice, but had old t.v’s and the pool was under maintenence with no chairs. At 2am, fire alarm battery started to beep. Front desk advised we could move our room since mainentence had already gone home for the night. Yes, I popped the battery out and went back to sleep. Besides from the huge cockroach in the hall and the homeless looking people in the parking lot, it was a nice room. Keep looking, there are much better, and cheaper, hotels out there!

Summer Bay

This hotel is being renovated, so not the "best", but definitely worth it. We stayed here because my in-laws had a room here. There’s had been renovated and looked clean and nice. Our room was spacious and all plates, utensils, cookware was provided. As well as dishwashing liquid, soap for the dishwasher and detergent for the washer. We used the pool and jacuzzi everyday and ate in. I see where improvement is needed, as far as upgrading our room. But being 10 minutes from Harrah’s/ Imperial Palace and what was offered for the price, we would stay here again. On-site security and gate security helped give the place a sense of we’d be ok.

The hotel offers free wireless internet, so bring your laptop. With 2 bedrooms and a pullout couch, it slept 5 comfortably and we brought food and saved money that way, since we had a refrigerator/freezer, oven/stove/microwave

will go back..

We stayed at the summer bay resort a year ago and we had no problem we loved it. We recently traveled this fourth of july to Las vegas and stayed at the Summer Bay resort in a two bedroom , two bathrooms and a nice living room and a kitchen it also had a laundry room.. We were also close to the pools. The room was nice but we had no cleaning service and we had a power outrage on ourside of our building. The Summer Bay Manger was kind enough to move us to another room but we end getting two suites. I can honeslty say that i recommend he suites they are much nicer and Fancy.. loved it. I really enjoyed the pool . I would go again and stayed there....

Very nice alternative to big hotels

Summer Bay Resort is a nice oasis just one block away from the busy Strip. It is very nice for families since you can book multiple rooms close together. Each room is complete with full living room, kitchen and even laundry room. For meals and conversation, we had as many as 10 people in one room and did not feel overly crowded. The staff is really trying hard to be extra friendly.

Ignore the bad reviews

I checked out lots of reviews before choosing this hotel, and was somewhat concerned by the bad ones out there. But there was no need to worry. Yes there was some lingering construction, but it did not interfere with our enjoyment of this great hotel. It’s quiet, comfortable and within reasonable walking distance of the strip. There were 4 pools available, and we really enjoyed the fact that they were open 24 hours. The rooms were great, and we were really impressed with how well equiped the kitchens were: there was even a blender to make our pina coladas! If the price remains right, I’ll definitely go back.

Great price, sub-par location

The room was great, but the location was far from ideal, and the shuttles are not very convenient.

Great place to stay.

We enjoyed our stay. The 2 bedroom villa was great. The only downfall was that the resort was still under constuction. There was no noise but we could not get the front desk to answer. Other than that, our kids loved swimming and relaxing at the resort.

Best stay in Vegas

I have stayed in several of the casinos on the strip and this was by far the best trip we have ever had. You feel as if you are in an apartment not just a room with a bed. The plus side to this is the location. You can take the back streets to get where you want to go and avoid the traffic on the strip. They also have shuttles to the strip in case you flew and didn’t rent a car. We will always rent a timeshare when we stay in Vegas. Plus there wasn’t any pressure to buy it either.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Take your own coffee. the one they offer isn’t the best and the starbucks isn’t that close. It also has a full size fridge so you can take you water and snacks.

Staff RUINS full satisfaction

Rooms are great but staff is extremely rude and incompetent. They had such a hard time finding our reservation because they had it as "already occupied." Pool is nice and clean. Entrance to resort has you thinking second thoughts but the rooms are tidy. My husband accidentally left his O’Neill thong and UGG slippers behind and they "couldn’t find them"......even though it had only been hours since our checkout. Location is NOT within walking distance to strip unless you are a marathon runner. Vegas blocks are very long. Its about 1.5 miles from the strip.

pretty good and clean!

I’m very hard to satisfy and I’ve got to say this is the cleanest place ive ever stayed at in vegas. It newly renevated so i think that helped. They still have construction going on all around so pools aren’t really open but i think it will look great when finally complete. You might get a construction view out your window like we did. The construction work was going on on friday morning and monday morning so they woke us up but during the weekend it was quiet. The rooms were really clean and the bedrooms/beds were good size can fit 3 comfertably per bed, 2 bathrooms clean and one giant tub, plenty of towels. they also give you a washing machine and drier and an iron with board. We did have a few things... we had 6 people for the room and two were going to take the sofa bed it defenatly didn’t look very comfertable (when opened it was not straight) but the people who slept on it said it was ok. Some were hurting after the 3rd night so I’d switch out. The pillows were horrible, they were really thick and hard so if you sleep on two pillows normally just one is enough. Also the walk is not too bad about a mile but if you want to get a cab to somewhere, get to the gate early cuz cabs take a while to come even though there’s plenty comming by they won’t pull in. They have shuttle but it doesn’t go to the airport and its almost once every 30 min and it only takes like 10 people at a time.

Traveler's tip on dining

Theirs also a great italian place really close by Great food and amazing service! really upscale and not too pricy. Starts with a "T" cant remember the name.

Best place off the strip

My fiance and I traveled to Vegas for a week visit and wanted the comfort and convenience of a kitchen. This is the best value in Vegas. With a full kitchen, you can eat in when you get tired of the cost and ordeal of eating out. Super comfortable suites that are more like super mini condos. Make sure to ask for a renovated room, or you will be disappointed. Renovated rooms have 42 inch flat screen televisions(one in the living room and one in the bedroom), a great bathroom, and new kitchen and decor. Conveniently located just a block and a half or so east of the center of the strip. Super easy drive to any casino on the strip. Don’t stay here if you want super frilly service or the feel of a hotel. This is a timeshare, so it is more like renting an apartment for the week rather than staying at a resort. We will definately stay there again.

Summer Bay

The complex if finalizing some renovation however it was nice to be off the strip in a room that had a kitchen and all the comforts of home. Also, the shuttles to the casinos worked out great we only had to use a taxi a couple of times.

Too new would wait until construction completed

Summer Bay was under construction so our room was located near the entrance and pool. There was music play loudly and at night we had to call the front desk to request it be shut off. We had ants in our room. We had no one to empty our garbage daily. It was great to have a washer and dryer. The room was spacious and accommodating.

Traveler's tip on recreational activities

We attended the NASCAR race and can’t want until next year, we will stay there again.

Excellent value

We were a group of four who stayed at this property for five days. For the price, we got more than I was expecting. The room was clean and spacious; equipped with 2 flat screen TVs, a modern kitchen, and by far the largest bathtub I have ever seen. We made great use of the walk in closet and had space to spare. We were told by Expedia not to expect room service, but had it on all days. The location is excellent - one block off of the strip. We would recommend this hotel to others. LIKES: - Spacious room with kitchen saved us money on food and drink during our visit. - Free popcorn!! - Free wireless was helpful! - The pools were well-equipped with towels and showers. Although it was chilly, we still swam and had a great time. DISLIKES: - The property is over the airport flight path which can be noisy if you are sensitive. - The staff was not particularly remarkable as being "hotel-friendly." Not very welcoming during check in. No smiles or hello’s. Seemed uninterested in how things were upon check out. Perhaps they knew I was only interested in using the property as a hotel room and not a timeshare. Room for improvement here, but minor as we still enjoyed our stay.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Create your own (albeit flexible) itinerary. If interested in the Grand Canyon, rent a car and drive 3 hours to Grand Canyon West. Excellent views and value for your money! Find a discount admission card to use on the strip, such as Visiticket. This saved us about $50 per person!
