Relaxing Location

The Admiral Fell Inn was a charming hotel with extremely gracious staff. It provided a nice little get-away prior to a business meeting at the harbor.

Traveler's tip on dining

An array of nice restaurants located nearby and the wharf was absolutely wonderful to just sit and read a book or the paper.

Loved it!

My boyfriend and I are low maintenance travelers, and were not expecting too much from an older hotel in an area we weren’t familiar with. Fells Point is wonderful for young travelers though, it has a great atmosphere and we took advantage of the short water taxi ride to the Inner Harbor quite often. The Inn was really a beautiful historic building. Our room was bigger than most we have stayed in (1 king bed) although the bathroom is a bit on the small side. It is in a very convenient spot as well. The staff at the Inn was by far the kindest, friendliest, and most accomodating I have dealt with for as long as I can remember. We checked in a little after 11:30 PM on a Thursday night and had no problems. We were reminded to not use the parking garage that is closed at midnight as well. Overall, we were very happy with our visit and would definitely consider staying at the Inn for our next trip.

Traveler's tip

Don’t park in the garage closest to the Inn, it is closed all day on Sundays. Metered parking on the street is plentiful, and free overnight until 10am. The water taxi is only $9 a day to ride all day, and is right across the street from the Inn. There is a $9.95 "resort fee" which is a bit of a ripoff if you don’t use the included amenities, which include 2 bottles of water per day, internet access, fitness center access, etc.

Great location. Lovely rooms

You can’t ask much more for a Fell’s Point location. Central to all the action, restaurants and Harbor Ferry. The rooms are well appointed, the only drawback the antiquated bathrooms. We had a fourth floor corner room with 4 windows and a great view of both harbor and square. Note: shower very early or later, hot water seemed to be unavailable at 7:30 AM on a Monday.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Valet parking is $$$$$$ . Check out the Carolina Street parking lot, the second lot on your right $10.00 overnight parking!

Comfortable Stay-good location

I enjoyed my time there. Staff attentive when needed. Restaurant in hotel but many others in the immediate area. Right on the waterfront. Interesting small shops. Convenient to downtown.

Great Hotel, Nice Location, Great Staff

I really enjoyed my stay. The hotel staff was very nice and very knowledgeable of the area. Right outside the front door is the waterfront and some excellent little restuarants. The hotel was very clean and will definately stay here again.

Love the location

We love the location and the uniqueness of the Admiral Fell. We continue to go back each year for a long weekend. There were only 2 drawbacks - (1) we did not receive a king bed as we had requested and paid for (2) we went to use the off-site gym with the free pass, but no one told us we would need ID, so we had to walk back to the hotel for ID (30 min walk round trip).

Traveler's tip

Park at the Caroline Street garage. It’s less expensive than valet and it’s open every day unlike the PMI garage.

Best Kept Secret in B’more

Loved this hotel---reminded me of the Carleton in Oak Park, IL....lovely ambience and charming rooms. Staff--most helpful and friendly. Good place to say - price is about right.

Traveler's tip on dining

The restaurant next door to Admiral Fell is terrific! One of the best in FellsPoint area. (Also loved Peter’s) Don’t waste your money on the water taxi...its a rip-off (as the "captain" said - its free all day, and it takes you all day to get there. For a lovely view - try McCormick and Schmick or Rusty Scupper (we’re not into chains, but these two are worth it for the viewage)

great location! charming too!

nice small hotel, located right on the square, charming furnishings, yet modern conveniences. Our room was next to some generator or loud noise in wall, very annoying. But one call to front desk and we were re-located to a quieter part of hotel, no problem. would recommend and stay here again

Great stay - one major irritant

I enjoyed my stay at the Admiral Fell Inn. It’s in the heart of Fells Point. It’s a well kept historic building. You can walk to many things. The one major irritant is the destination fee or whatever it is they call it. It’s $9.95 a day on top of the price of the room.

Traveler's tip

Don’t use the valet parking. Park in the PMS garage on Caroline Street. It’s a couple of blocks, but the max charge is $10 versus $24 (I think) for valet parking.

Great place to stay

The Admiral Fell Inn is a comfortable place to stay during your visit to Fells Point, and a short cab ride from the Inner Harbor attractions. The staff is friendly and anxious to assist their guests. Oneof my favorite places to stay in Baltimore !

NOT BAD OVERALL

NICE QUAINT ROOM - PRETTY SMALL BUT WE DIDN’T SPEND MUCH TIME IN THE ROOM.POT LUCK ON WHAT KIND OF BED YOU GET (WE GOT A DOUBLE FOR TWO ADULTS) THE SHUTTLE IS GOOD, THEY WILL TAKE YOU ALMOST ANYWHERE YOU WANT TO GO IF YOU THROW THE GUY A FEW BUCKS.THE PARKING ISN’T AS BAD AS IT SOUNDS. THERE IS PLENTY TO DO IN FELLS POINT AND ONLY 5 MINUTES FROM INNER HARBOR.PRETTY COOL NOT YOUR RUN OF THE MILL CHAIN HOTEL. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THAT, KEEP LOOKING.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

TAKE THE SHUTTLE PROVIDED BY THE HOTEL THEY WILL TAKE YOU ALMOST ANYWHERE YOU NEED TO GO -JUST TAKE CARE OF THE DRIVER.

A Room the Size of a Closet

The hotel staff was nice on arrival, but the room was extremely small - just enough space to walk around the queen size bed with a large armoire for tv and small chair tucked into corner. Too windows overlooking a not so great view. Clean. Extra service charge each day for extra service e.g. in room internet access which was not available either day. Told this to front desk staff who could not have cared less. Hotel sited next to a small park or square which one evening was filled with disreputable types including one who walked around with his arms out yelling "I’m ready." If you want to party, this neighborhood might be the place.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Check to make sure that your extra services are, in fact, available on the first day! The Baltimore Museum of Art is free and well worth the visit.

A good mix of business and historical hotel experience

I previously stayed in the Inner Harbor area and found this hotel much quieter. Almost every employee was exceptionally helpful and pleasant. Take the shuttle van to their sister hotels to get you closer to the Inner Harbor activities or Convention Center. If you want ultra modern and plush, or don’t have appreciation for history, stay at an Inner Harbor hotel.

Wonderful Hotel

Fell’s Point is a fun place to stay when in Baltimore. We usually stay closer to Camden Yards when we come to town for an O’s game, but I think the Admiral Fell Inn will be our new hotel of choice. Check in was easy, the room was great - it even had a fridge, which we didn’t expect. There are plenty of great bars within walking distance - we are looking forward to coming back. Great experience!

Highly recommended

From the time we pulled our car in front of the hotel until the time we checked out, we received excellent service. The room was small but cozy. The bed was the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in at a hotel.

Great Birthday

I went to the hotel for my 21st. It was my first time down in fells point but I am a baltimore native. I love the city so much and this hotel made me want to move downtown. The hotel had friendly service, the people who worked there were very helpful. The location was the best, great price for being right in the middle of some of the best bars in the area. The room was very clean and the beds were more comfortable then my bed at home. Will be staying there again on my next trip down!

Traveler's tip on nightlife

Fells point is full of great bars. This hotel is an easy walk to green turtle which is a great place to eat and get some drinks. Also Max’s on broadway, Moby’s and Rodeo are just across the street. These are some of the best bars down in fells. It is nightlife central down there and The Admiral is right in middle of it.

fun hotel in fells point

This hotel is conviently located in fells point. If you are not familiar with baltimore it is a little spot on the water with lots of cute pubs. It is also close to the inner harbor if you are going to the aquarium or a game (although you will need to drive or take a cab it is a loooong walk to walk to these locations)The hotel has an antique feel to it. The only down fall is the bathroom as not as big as most newer hotels but if you are not going here for the bathroom you will love your stay.

Loved the style of the Inn,loved the location

I thought the Inn was adorable. The lobby was clean and everyone was so accommodating.Quite friendly, couldn’t do enough to make you happy. The rooms looked exactly like the picture on the web site. The cleaning service could be a little better.I would go back again, loved the location, near everything you wanted to do.The water taxi’s were right across the street.

Traveler's tip on recreational activities

The Inn was located near everything you wanted to do.

Romantic and easy to enjoy

Besides the ghosts that we never met, this charming hotel offers many nice features. The restaurants are great...one downstairs and one for breakfast/lunch. Right outside is the water taxi to the inner harbor. The free shuttle will take you there too...and pick you back up, saving taxi fare. The staff is very polite and helpful. The vintage rooms have canopy beds and lots of modern features. The decor is lovely. Across the cobblestone town square right at the front door of the hotel is Jimmy’s, a diner type local place with a breakfast that would satisfy a truck driver. Within walking distance are many bars, boutiques, Little Italy, a really cool old fashioned record store and antique shops. We have stayed at the newer Harbor hotels. This one is the value location with convenience and class. Have a night cap at the classy bar downstairs. The bartender is personable and the crowd is friendly. This is our new Baltimore destination!

Traveler's tip on dining

Try Flemings, a steak house that is pricey but a must see....they always have famous people in the private back room. The night we went, the defense players for the Ravens were having dinner and they were very nice to talk with.....And don’t forget to go to Howl at the Moon at Power Plant Live to hear raucous dueling pianos. There is live music in the Hard Rock Cafe outdoor bar and also in ESPN zone outdoor bar....a fun time that goes on and on....

Great Hotel During the Day, So-So at Night.

The hotel staff was wonderful and extremely helpful when we arrived in the morning. They took care of everything so that I could enjoy my stay right away. They parked my car, checked my bags, got everything together, and check in still wasn’t for hours! However, in the evening, the staff seemed nowhere to be found. After 6pm, I had a terrible time getting a hold of anyone. Calling the front desk only got me into a automated meu that repeatedly kicked me back out to the first menu when no one answered. Walking to the lobby didn’t help either - there wasn’t anyone around. It’s a nice hotel in a nice area. Just make sure you don’t need anything after hours.
