Nice Place

This hotel was good for the price and location. We were only there for 1 night to go to a concert at First Mariner Arena and we only had to walk 1 block to get there. The hotel is about 4 blocks to the restaurants in the harbor. I would stay again for the price.

convenient location to inner harbor

Everything and everybody at hotel was very good. we really were pleased with the condition of this historic hotel and especially for the price compared to other hotels in the same general area. Well worth it!!

Fantastic Customer Service

As I checked in, I was personally greeted at the desk, the valet and baggage handler were very professional and friendly. During my entire stay, the front desk staff, and others I met, continually remembered my name, and were able to provide me with personalized service. The room, while gently worn, was very well kept. The hotel was within easy walking distance of the Convention Center and Inner Harbor. Well worth the price difference as compared to a Harbor front hotel.

Loved the beds!!!

The staff was courteous and could not do enough to make sure you were comfortable and had everything you needed. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. This hotel pampers its guests and I would definitely stay there again.

Had to pay extra to upgrade to the room I thought I reserved. No hot water in the bathroom sink for two days. Wall paper riped and soiled. What I thought was going to be a deal, really wasn"t. Location was wonderful. Staff was fantastic.

A wonderful delight!

After reading the plus and minus reviews on the expedia site I was a bit nervous about my booking - but - found myself delighted and happy with my choice! The staff was excellent and attentive, my room was spotless and in perfect working order. A real treat was the lobby happy hour with half price drinks and appetizer specials,(the crab dip was hugh and delicious). The hotel was a good price and a great choice.

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Use the self park one an a half blocks south of the hotel. It is an above ground parking lot and less than the hotel suggested self park.

Enjoyed our stay

We were very impressed with the Hotel, and its close location to the Harbor area. The Grill meal was very good as well as the service. The one negative was that one day when we returned to our room around 2:30 after being gone since around 9:00 the room had not been cleaned. We still will probably stay here on our next trip; Since we usually go to Baltimore 2-3 times a year.

Radisson Family...

I used to work in hotels so I think I can be pretty critical when it comes to hotels. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. The housekeeper was attentive and quick when I asked for a crib. The hotel itself was in a good location; an easy walk to the Inner Harbor. The lobby and the rooms seemed a bit dark, but overall they were nicely decorated and clean.

Very Convenient

Very easy access to the inner harbor, camden yards, and any of the surrounding sites. Parking was free (which was a HUGE plus), however, it seemed a bit far away at 4-5 blocks. I guess that was expected when staying at a hotel downtown. Great experience and would HIGHLY recommend to other travelers. I will definiatly stay again when traveling to Baltimore.

A great place to stay hands down!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much. Though we did not spend much time in our room we were quite satisfied with it. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and friendly :)We also took advantage of dining at the hotel our first night in town and enjoyed a delious diner. We can’t wait till our next visit!

Good Deal in Hotel with Character!!!

This was my husband’s and my second time staying at the Lord Baltimore. We were greeted friendly from the front desk even though it was late and they were busy (due to an Orioles game). The staff was helpful and pleasant. We ordered club sandwiches from the bartender and chatted with locals and other visitors while hanging out in their lobby bar. The bartender was motivated, which was nice since he had a rack of people yammering for drinks. We appreciated his quick, yet thorough service. The room was nice; it is an older hotel however. We did enjoy the sleep number bed in the room immensely though!! The room did smell a little like stale cigarettes but overall comfortable and adequate for a 2 night stay. We had the buffet breakfast downstairs in the lobby, the prices were reasonable and the buffet, although quaint, was more than enough to appease any hungry, coffee-deprived traveler.

Book your tickets online to the aquarium, it WILL be packed if you go on a Saturday or a Sunday. You can go up to the trade tower and see the whole city, for a price. Check out local attractions near by, we found the Renaissance fair while we were in town.

Nice hotel, but watch the neighborhood....

The hotel overall was nice. The room was comfortable and cozy. I didnt have any problems with the hotel. Check in is at 3pm, and they mean 3 pm. NO early check in. My issue was with the lack of security on the block. Within several blocks were homeless, beggers, and shady looking characters. It was not comfortable, and I would think twice before going back. Sorry Radison, you need some security in the area.

Dont bring the kids to this hotel. Its the neighborhood/security thing.

dissapointed

The room smelled of smoke even though it was supposed to be a smoke-free room. We also found empty liquor nips under the bed and a three pack of unopened condoms between the matress (these comdoms had an expiration date of Feb 07). The furniture was also well worn and teh arm of the chairs felt greasy. The TV coices was also very limited.

Attending a wedding in B-more during the labor day wkend and the suggested hotels where not near the harbor, and cost more. If the deal looks good take it. The hotel was just fine. Good size rooms, clean, walking distance. Two negatives 1)Parking is not free, but thats most cities. 2) Bus depot near by so ...

Not too shabby

My boyfriend and I went to the Radisson over Labor Day weekend. For the price we paid, we were very satisfied with our trip [although portions of the hotel did remind us of the shining]. It was locate in a very convenient area, and we would consider returning.

My preganat wife and I stayed here for a weekend getaway before the baby is born and we could not have been happier. We both read the reviews on here and were a little worried but I spoke to a family member that lives in the area and was informed that the hotel was better than the reviews said. The hotel staff was very informative and helpful. When we first checked in, the room they gave us was dirty. I went back to the desk and was told the system was "messing up" so he said he was sorry and upgraded us to the plaza level. The room on the plaza level was amazing to say the least! We had a nice breakfast in the morning and I had cocktails at night which came with the room. I would book this hotel again when we go back to Baltimore!!

The hotel is in walking distance to everything in the inner harbor. Again, my wife is pregnant and we were still able to walk to everything we wanted to do while there. The main reason we went was to go to the aquarium and the walk to it wasn’t as bad as one review suggested.

Book 2 rooms - my room was so-so ( not overly clean and the hole patch in the bathroom door was a nice touch) & the other party had to change their room due to uncleanliness on which they were comped contintental breakfast during our 2 night stay. On the positive ( reasonable price, fairly centrally located & the beds were comfy ). You may be able to find a better value though. Buyer beware.

Must see - Camden yards. The duck boat tour was fun. If you like beer - Duclaw’s brewery - Fell’s point area was great.

Needs some touching-up

Beautiful lobby area, but the floors were in a more dilapidated state. Peeling wallpaper, doors needed to be slammed shut (very annoying at 2 AM). Overall, knowing that it was an older property, it was nice. Could use some touching up though.

Great location for Baltimore attractions

When we checked in, we were told that the room we booked wasn’t ready (On the club level), but we could take a different room on a different floor and still have access to the same amenities. I denied it, because I wanted the room I booked, and we waited about 5 minutes before they told us that our exact room was ready. I had the feeling they just didn’t want to give us the room on the special Club Level. Besides that, the room was great, breakfast was nice, and the hotel was in a great location to walk to the Inner Harbor and Camden Yards. The hotel charged my credit card an additional $30. When I got home from my trip I called to complain, and they told me it was to cover any charges I incurred, and it would be automatically refunded if I didn’t bill anything to the room. It was a few days later, but I wish they had just warned me ahead of time.

Take a cab to any location outside of the inner harbor. Baltimore is pretty seedy.

I got what i paid for and there were no surprises which is a good thing. Not as close to the harbor as i would prefer but i knew that up front, its a 7 minute walk. But then its also close to the Market too, also about 7 minutes the other way.As a place to stay on a budget it was fine,central,comfy bed, everything in bathrooms functioned, no dirt. Carpets in halls are getting older but still ok.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

There is a 7-11 two blocks East, one South that stocks water sodas etc. at 20% of the cost of the ’convenience’ store at the hotel.Tap water is OK. If you plan on getting too and from the hotel /airport use the shuttle and pay for the round trip at the airport upfront, it saves $16 per person.
