Hyatt Place Atlanta Downtown

Great value for the money.

This hotel was very close to many downtown sites and activities. It was small but had a very accomodating staff who were very guest oriented. I did have one problem during my stay and while slightly inconvenienced, the staff was extremely helpful in offering solutions and alternatives until it could be resolved. They also had a free shuttle to anywhere within a 3 mile radius, so even though the seminar I was attending was a few blocks away, if I did not want to walk at night they could pick me up. The morning continental breakfast buffet that was included with my stay was very good and had an abundant variety of which to chose. Overall a great experience and I saved enough money to eat at the excellent restaurant right next door.

Hyatt Place Atlanta Downtown

First this hotel is Nonsmoking. So, if you partake don’t even consider this one-plus, if you have a visitor and they light up unknowingly they charge an Outrageous fee (alot of Febreeze for the price they charge-as in part ownership of the company!). There is no restaurant onsite-only a short order bar that is very limited. The best though is a shuttle which will go 3 miles free of charge. Bottome line: for an overnight short stay in downtown and you /or guests don’t smoke it is at best a 3.Also rooms small. Having even a small restaurant would bring it up to a 4 so I don’t really recommend this place unless all else is booked.

If you need to be in downtown Atlanta there are other choices in hotels. This Hyatt should only be a last ditch effort. Though it is within walking distance (about 1.5) miles of the Phillips Arena and Georgia Dome.

very nice hotel

very nice hotel...very clean and comfy...just that the wireless network connection varies in diff parts of the room.

Wonderful

The hotel was located near everything. The rooms were clean, although the bathrooms were small. The staff were amazing and so helpful. I would definately stay here again

Not impressed

Too tiny room, loby, elevator... Unkind front desk, they never smile and so serious. Parking fee is so big compare with others nearby. But location of hotel is well.

What a friendly staff!!

They believe in customer service. Friendly and helpful from check-in to check-out. LARGE room at a reasonable price. Close to MARTA for transportation to and froom the airport. It was a good decision staying at this hotel...I am proud of myself!!

Wonderful experience

Visited Atlanta with a friend in July for vacation. The hotel was very close to the subway and within walking distance to the Aquarium and the World of Coca Cola. The rooms were quite spacious and very clean. The staff was friendly. It was a great deal with a continental breakfast and complimentary shuttle included. The restaurant next door was excellent too. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my family and friends.

You do not need a car to tour Atlanta. Take the MARTA and the buses around the city. It’s a great way to sit back and see the city.

Very Nice

Very clean hotel! The rooms are nice and been been updated, however, the bathrooms are extremely small. You have a vanity area outside of the bathroom, and the shower and toilet are basically in a closet. Overall, a very nice place to stay for a night or two. Close to Coca-Cola factory and the Aquarium.

Not Impressed

When you stay in a hotel and have your belongings stolen without any break-in, then that is not a good hotel at all. I will never go back.

Great stay

I really liked the hotel it was clean and the service was nice. I normally don’t like room service at hotels but the food was delicious.

Close to everything

This was a nice hotel with spacious rooms. The staff was really nice and very helpful. The only thing that we had a problem with was the shuttle. We had requested a ride to the 5 points MARTA station (for our ride to the airport)and the staff set it up (they knew we had luggage. Unfortunately the driver said that he couldn’t transport our luggage on the shuttle, so we had to drag our luggage to the Peachtree station several blocks away. Other than that, we enjoyed the hotel and the close proximity to CNN, the Coca Cola Museum, Olympic Park and the Georgia Aquarium.

Had a great time in Atlanta

Planned our first entire family vacation ( 5 year old and 1 year old) to Atlanta for the aquarium and zoo. Picked this hotel ,honestly , due to its location being rather central to both areas. Shuttle service was nice to have, although it will not take you to the zoo. Our second driver was awesome and helped us get to the zoo by MARTA (which is not bad, but get a bus schedule). The hotel was nice and clean and the staff friendly and helpful.I was a little unsure about a king and sofa bed room since I knew my husband or me would end up on the sofa bed with a kid. However it was fairly comfortable. Bathrooms are a little on the small side. The parking was AWFUL but I understand it is that way in all downtown Atlanta. Only complaint, hard to find somewhere close to eat..ended up eating at hotel more than we had planned.

Hotel was a good choice for visiting the aquarium. Take the free shuttle and purchase your tickets before you get there.

Everythings are good.

Appropriate price, Good quality of service, Nice breakfast, Clean room, Kind people. Everythings are good except local attractions. Strongly recommend for business trip.

There are CNN tower, Aquarium, World of CocaCola, and Olympic Park within 15 minutes by walk.

Good hotel and great location near major attractions. Small bathroom. Continental breakfast just ho hum. Good value.

Excellent Service

The staff were exceptionally nice and friendly and very helpful. Wi-fi is free and they advised me how to avoid inadvertently signing on to the fee for service wi-fi at the Hyatt down the road. They also gave me directions and recommendations to area attractions and introduced me to the free shuttle bus driver to take me there. They also advised me of all the hotel amenities (e.g., free breakfast, Internet and printer for printing boarding passes) in a friendly manner. The location was great and the room was much nicer and more spacious than I expected. The ONLY thing that was negative is that there was NO lotion provided in the bathroom. In this day of airline restrictions, I didn’t pack any skin lotion assuming that it would be provided by the hotel. Plan to stay at this great little hotel, but bring your own lotion!

Perfect

This place was excellent. Location is ideal. Staff were friendly. Rooms were new and very comfortable. Large LCD TV’s, Refrigerator and Safety Box in room.

Nice linens and comfortable bed, crappy Pay parking

We stayed here just 1 night with 3 small children. Room was clean and nice but you could tell this is an older hotel that has been remodeled. The bathrooom was extremely tiny however the curved curtian rod in the shower made up for the fact that it was small. The linens were very nice. Pillows were really nice and fluffy, definatly a good idea to go to any hotel that does the triple sheeting thing like this one does. The bed was actually quite comfortable, not hard as a rock like the more inexpensive hotels. Our room was a little loud as the window was directly over another building with tons of ac units ontop of the roof. The parking in the "basement" was odd at best. parkiking in a large vehicle is almost impossible because of the set up, and if you arrive too late you will not have a place to park at the hotel. Not cool, since its $22 for parking. Overall, its exactly what you expect for the price.

Make sure you dont arrive too late or you will not have a place to park within the hotel. Overall, exactly what you expect in an older/remodeled hotel. For me, as someone who has traveled a lot and generally stays in a $60-80 per night hotel, definatly worth paying more since beds/linens were excellent.

Nice hotel, good location.....BIG TV!

I’ve stayed at this location several times now because I like to bring my Playstation 3 which uses an HDMI cable, therefore a flatscreen TV is needed. This hotel currently has 42" Plasma in every room and is much less expensive and just as nice as the Hyatt Regency which is a block away.

The hotel is walking distance (approx. 2 blocks) from the MARTA subway station instead of paying expensive cab fare.

Very nice will return again

I really enjoyed my stay at the Hyatt Place. My daughter and I were treated very well, neither of us had ever been in Atlanta before and the staff was very friendly and helpful in making suggestions on things we should see. The hotel also has a shuttle service that was available to take us anywhere we wanted to go and took us door to door. The room was really nice,very clean and modern, equipped with a mini refrigerator and coffee machine. We also had a section size couch in the room that could have accomadated additional guest. The continental breakfast was nice, serve down near the lobby area, with real plates, cups and glasses which is a nice touch. I will definitely go back and stay there again.
