it is OK
I booked one king size bed, but they said that they could only offer double bed room. When I requested a roon on other floor other than first floor, they refused. All others are fine.

I was very impressed with my hotel accommodations. The bed was so comfortable.
Traveler's tip on dining
I was however disappointed with the price of food. Our breakfast was $36 for two adult and two kids. luckily I purchased the special for a few extra dollars to get breakfast free. It was buffet and delicious. Overall completely satisfied.

No frills hotel
I expected more from a marriott. no conceirge services (they didnt know what the word meant), no shuttle to the light rail and front desk was not much help. However, if it wasnt for the huge amount of kids there, the stay was pleasant.

Perfect!!
I was only there for one night but I used the gym, room service and also went to the bar for a glass of wine. Everything was perfect from the check in to check out. It is right off the interstate and close to serveral dining options. I have stayed in many hotels and I am picky but this place met my standards and beyond. If you are in Charlotte this is a terrific place to stay.

I love Charlotte, NC
I love not just Charlotte, but the whole east coast with its history and lush vegetation. I do have a problem with my airline, Northwest Airlines.

Great Bed
My room was an executive suite on the 7th floor and it was great! They put my boss in an executive suite on the 2nd floor (which is in the basement) and he was miserable. He said the room smelled and it was very uncomforatble. So, if you are planning on staying at this hotel just rember to ask not to be put on the 2nd level.
Traveler's tip on nightlife
Del Frisco’s resturant is a great steakhouse in a new office park development close to the hotel. It’s has an upscale crowd, and is a great place rub elbows with Charlotte’s finest. If you can get in, reserve a tabel in "The Wine Cellar."

Don’t Assume You Get a Fridge
When I reserved the room, I believed that I was getting a room that included a refrigerator. Turns out that I didn’t (an inconvenience when traveling with two children). The front desk told me that none of their rooms had them (which doesn’t jibe with their website), but that they would call housekeeping to see if they had a spare that we could use for the stay. I never heard back from anyone, and no fridge arrived. It was only a two-night stay, so no major deal. Also, the rooms do not have microwave ovens either...so if you’re used to keeping leftovers and keeping drinks cold, you may want to re-think this hotel. Otherwise, the hotel met our needs, and the kids enjoyed the indoor pool. The restaurant staff was very nice, and the pool attendant was very responsive when told that the whirlpool was too hot. I would certainly recommend this hotel for business travelers. But I would be hesitant to recommend it for families planning a visit to the nearby Carowinds theme park (unless you bring your own "cooking and cooling" equipment.

A good Location + Good Hotel
The hotel has recently bee refurbished and the rooms are fresh as is the lobby and othe public spaces. Only had breakfast in the resturant and the service and food preparation were fine. The one problem is one which I have with many "full service" Marriott hotels. They charge more than a Court Yard but also charge for internet service, bottled water in the room, fax [I don’t know anyon who sends faxes anymore but -] etc etc. This does not make sense and I will stay at a Court Yard when traveling on business.

The location is excellent if you have to move around Charlotte and have a car. At the intersection of I-77 and Tavola.
