the amenities, buffet, happy hour were great

The rooms are very clean and well decorated. the lobby is also lovely. Buffet and happy hour downstairs in dining area also very nice. Though there was a soccer team staying, we heard no noise or running in the halls.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

There is a big shopping mall across the street. Great resteraunts, close to downtown spokane and Courdelaine Idaho.

Great Place to Stay

Really nice rooms. They have many ammenities that a very expensive hotel would have. Comfortable but classy. Nice views above the Spokane River. Really good breakfast and the complimentary glass of wine in the evening was a nice touch. I was very impressed.

friendly and nice place to stay

Stayed here on business for a few days, the staff was pleasant during my stay. Can’t say the lounge/bar was something to write home about but the adjoining cafe served a good breakfast buffet to get everyone going in the morning. Don’t forget the mall with several restaurants and theatres right across the street.

Traveler's tip for business travelers

Don’t forget the mall with several restaurants and theatres right across the street. Best Buy is right next door, too. Avoid the place "Wingers" right across the street. There’s plenty of other places right near by

Exceptional in every way!

Probably the best accommodations I’ve stayed in in recent years. The regular rooms are large and comfortable. The bathrooms are adequate (nothing special, but that’s the most negative comment I have). The price was very competitive, and would have been a steal (considering the room size, quality of breakfast, etc) at the hotel’s regular price (I had a 20% discount). Prime location in Spokane Valley -- right across from the Mall, but isn’t noisy at all. This will be our regular place to stay!

Awesome Staff!

We found the hotel to be a great choice. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and roomy. The only challenge was their ovens being down so the night time cocktail and snack reception consisted of pot. salad and leaf salad. The rest was great!!

Location only thing good about this hotel.

This hotel is a excellent location and easy to find, execellent restaurants very close by. The bathroom was very small and the pillows were awful. BED WAS COMFORTABLE.Room furnishing were worn and dated.Towels were like sandpaper.Very noisy as we faced the I-90.Room was very hot and stuffy even with air conditioner on.Breakfast buffet was on the grim side...

Traveler's tip on shopping

In the Spokane Valley Mall, Pacsun store(CARRIES HURLEY, BURTON, DC SHOES ETC.) gives out 25 coupons for any purchase over 50 dollars. If you are a Alberta resident make to sure to tell them and your tax exempt!!Burlington Coat factory is totally amazing on Division, close to Northtown mall.

Comfortable and Reasonable Suburban Hotel

Traffic is never a problem in Spokane, so staying in the Valley when visiting a college student isn’t really an inconvenience--and you avoid the premium of (and the cost of parking) downtown. The beds were very comfortable the rooms were large (though not a "suite," really) and clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful. So what’s not to like? The hotel does attract families with children--so we heard some of them at night (but we still slept well). And the breakfast buffet each morning and the reception (free drinks) at night are a blessing and a curse. The breakfast is pretty good (and included in the cost of the room), but the dining room is no great shakes and the crowd is kind of "Old Country Buffet"ish. We didn’t go to the reception as we have been to one before, and the drinks were the cheap stuff (and the crowd was lapping it up). But all told, it is well worth the money, and I’d stay there again.

We’ll visit again!

Great accomodations. Hotel is easily accessible from I90 and very close to shopping and dining. Spacious rooms; clean and comfortable with small fridge & microwave in room. Personally, I love the triple sheets on the terrific beds! The complimentary breakfast was very generous and tasty. The hotel staff could have been a bit more friendly and welcoming; my work focuses on customer service and I just "didn’t feel the love" as we interacted with them. Also, there were several families staying in the hotel and I observed the desk clerk chew a group of girls out for basically being silly adolescents. As the same clerk checked us, in she rolled her eyes and made a snide comment to the other clerk as a group of young people walked out of the hotel laughing and having fun. If the hotel is "family friendly" I’m not sure this employee got the message.

Traveler's tip on recreational activities

There is a wonderful walking/biking path along the Spokane River, just behind the hotel.

Shopping Trip to Spokane

We drove from Calgary to Spokane for a shopping trip on July 3, 2008 with my wife & teenage daughter This hotel was easily to get to from the interstate & conveniently located across a street from the Spokane Valley Mall. A couple of nice restaurants within walking distance. The hotel was very clean. Very nice breakfast buffet was a typical with hot and cold entrees. Evening reception was a nice touch with free beer & wine. Nacho Chips & salsa would be a step up from the hot snacks served. Excellent value and we will stay there again.

Traveler's tip on shopping

Spokane mall has excellent prices compared to Calgary.

Great Value for the Location

This hotel was close to shopping, restaurants and the Spokane River Centenial Trial. It isn’t trying to be Five Star hotel, but it ranks top notch in all other aspects. Only drawback - the bathroom was tiny.

Oxford Suites - Great Place to Stay

The hotel is very clean, well-maintained, and attractive. The staff was courteous and eager to assist. Very nice touches are the free breakfast and evening "reception". Oxford provides hot breakfast selections incl. items such as bacon or sausage. Two drinks are provided at the evening reception (incl. beer or wine) as well as hot foods that could almost pass for dinner. The hotel is close to I-90 and the Spokane Valley Mall.

Always stay at the Oxford Suites in most of my business travels due to their quality.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone who does not require a full service hotel. Though only breakfast s served, hotel has a complimentary drink for all guests after 5:00pm. The staff is always helpful, including the housekeeping staff.

Traveler's tip for business travelers

Hotel has a workout area as well as a laundry room if needed. The area is across from Mall and has easy access to Hwy. 90 whch is important for keeping appointments.

Location, beds, overall impression are great

Only real disappointment was evening reception - no one attending food bar, main selection was "out" 2 hrs into 4 hr scheduled event. Exceptionally comfortable bed, other amenities were as expected for this price hotel. Included breakfast best of its kind.

Almost perfect

The hotel is wonderful and in a great location. We stayed here to visit Silverwood Theme Park. It was worth the 30min. commute! The hotels in Couer D’Alene are way overpriced! We stayed here for the same price as a 2star would have been had we stayed closer to the park. The rooms are very comfortable and even had a seperate sitting area with a TV for lounging. My only complaint is that the bathrooms were below par when compaired to the rest of the room. However, the small bathroom is worth the sacrifice. I would definately stay here again.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

If you are planning to go to Silverwood, plan at least one of your days during the week. The weekends are awful!!!

would definately recommend

The river trail is directly behind the hotel and visible from the breakfast room, as are the very cute marmots that climb on the rocks and are a big attraction for children. Great place to walk, run, or cycle and trail goes all the way through downtown Spokane to the west and to Idaho to the east. Staff was the best. Evening reception enough for dinner. SO VERY GLAD WE DID NOT STAY DOWNTOWN AS IT WAS VERY RUN DOWN AND NOT AS MUCH TO DO. The Davenport is woth visiting, but stay here.

Very nice hotel

The hotel is new, clean, well serviced, and the staff are very helpful. I would stay there again on my next trip to Spokane. It is right on the Spokane River, and there is a nice paved walking trail along the river. Beautiful views and wonderful exercise.

Traveler's tip on shopping

The Spokane Mall is right across the street within walking distance. It is a new mall with excellent shopping opportunities
