Very nice hotel in University of Washington neighborhood

The Watertown Hotel is very comfortable and well appointed. The rooms are very large with a separate area for bathroom and vanity. Nice linens and fairly quiet on side rooms. We walked to Husky Stadium in about 20 minutes and it was a senic walk through the campus. We would definetely stay there again.

Great place to stay by the UW.

The hotel has it’s own underground parking, a big plus for us. And, we easily checked in, and got to our room. It was very comfortable and surprising quiet. We faced a street, but I never heard any street noise while the windows were closed. The window coverings made the room very dark so we weren’t woken early by light. And, the included breakfast made the mornings very easy.

Quality for a good price

The location was perfect, close to campus, I-5 and great neighborhoods. We took the bus downtown, easy and cheap. The shuttle reservations were full when we wanted to get downtown. The room was modern and clean with plenty of room for three adults. Breakfast was fresh and included eggs and bacon/sausage and fresh fruit. Free parking was a plus. All in all a good value.

Great Place to Stay!

This was a great hotel, with great staff. It was in walking distance of the UW Medical Center as well as great shopping. The shuttle service was easy to use and the driver was very nice.

Extra perks make it worth the stay

Nice breakfast, free wireless, good location for campus access, various things you can request, like a dvd player, etc. Near a jogging/bike path so running was easy/fun. A bit of an expensive haul from the airport ($50). Not many upscale restaurants in the immediate area.

Traveler's tip on dining

Big Time Brewery makes their own beers--worth the short walk towards campus. Good pizza too!

Clean, Modern Hotel

Close to the University of Washington. Enjoyed the hotel, older neighborhoods, and the free parking.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

It was nice to leave our car in a secure free parking space while we completed our our seven day Inside Passage to Alaska Cruise.

Such a nice surprise!

My husband and I chose this hotel because of its proximity to the university, where we were visiting a friend. Also, it had free parking. We were very impressed with the style of the hotel. Out room looked nice, not cheesy. We had excellent city views. I was worried about getting a King-sized bed because when we paid online it couldn’t be guaranteed. When we arrived, not only did we get our King but we also got an upgrade to a suite and there were warm cookies in the lobby. How can you beat that?

Neat out of the ordinary hotel

Simply great, no worries for some of the strangely poor reviews, service was great, good enough breakfast, nice and fresh out of the ordinary decor style, free parking, free bicycle rentals, close to the UofW campus, walking distance (~20 min) to the University Village, all topped of by affordability given Seattle hotel prices. Would definitely stay again.

Better than we expected.

Because of all the good reviews, my family and I decided to book our stay with Watertown. We have two small children and the a la carte feature was extremely helpful in keeping our little ones happy. We also love the fact that you needed your card key to access the garage and to use the elevators beyond the lobby, which made us feel really safe and secure. For the most part, we saved money with their complimentary breakfast (really good!, high-speed internet, and parking. The location was nice and quiet, but only minutes away from the downtown. We are definitely going to make this our only place to stay from now on.

If you go to the University Village Shopping center, only minutes away, there’s a QFC grocery store that you can buy microwaveable food, snacks, and drinks to take up to your hotel room if you plan to be on a budget.

Beautiful Design

I loved the modern clean design of Watertown. It felt very light and airy, we had a corner room. The breakfast is great and the secured parking is convenient. The location is quiet yet near interesting attractions, more value for your money than downtown.

Convenient and comfortable

Convenient and comfortable in Univ. of Washington neighborhood, within walking distance of museums, restaurants and shops. Friendly staff, nice breakfast, coffee available at all times. Free parking and shuttle service (although destinations are limited, you can go to Seattle Center and catch other public transportation)are a great plus. My first chocie when in Seattle.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

Take a stroll around the Univ. of WA campus. Burke Museum has changing exhibits and an interesting collection of American Indian artifacts.

Large room near UW

My daughter and I stayed at the Watertown on a recent trip to Seattle to tour the University of Washington. The location of this hotel is great for a UW visit, but I wouldn’t stay here for a visit to downtown Seattle, since there are many hotels in the downtown area itself. This is an older hotel but is well maintained. Our room was huge! There was an older style TV and no pay-per-view movie channels, but they do offer an innovative "cart" service in which you can order a rolling cart of movies to be delivered to your room. There are other cart options (spa cart, art cart, etc.) but the carts are only available on a first-come, first-served basis, so order early! The hotel also offers free underground parking and a free breakfast, which included hot items as well as fruit and pastries and was quite decent for a free hotel buffet! It was definitely not the most luxurious hotel I’ve stayed at, but it was a good choice for the value and the location near the University.

Traveler's tip on dining

There’s a great little cafe for lunch just a block or two down the street from the hotel. I can’t remember the name but ask at the front desk because they recommended it when we arrived early and our room wasn’t ready!

Clean, comfortable hotel near UW

The hotel was very clean, smartly furnished and well maintained. Staff was attentive and professional. Excellent attention to detail, down to the salon quality shampoo/conditioner/soap and the alcohol wipes for the telephone and TV remote.

Good hotel for this visit; would go back.

This was a one night stay for us. Quiet room, even if right next to the elevator. Free parking underneath the hotel a definite draw. Continental breakfast adequate if uninspired (fruit, yoghurt, pastries, cereal, etc.) Small fitness room, but under-used when we were there, so not the size wasn’t a problem. Aveda products in the bath a nice touch. Staff not unfriendly, but not out-going either. Would go back.

Very satisfied!

We were looking for a Hotel close to downtown Seattle but not IN downtown. When I was searching I read the reviews of the Watertown and they were very good. I also liked that they had a free shuttle service to the downtown area! We got there early and our room was ready so we parked our car in the free parking garage that was very secure. Then the shuttle took us downtown. We only had to call to have them pick us up before 9:30 pm. The breakfast had a variety of items and was good. I would recommend this hotel to others. The price was a little more than we wanted to spend but after using the shuttle, it was more than worth it! NO driving or having to find parking!

Weekend Stay

The hotel is a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. The sink and shower didn’t drain very well. The parking was full and some cars were double parked. No easy access to restaurants.

Disappointed

Disappointed and won’t return. While clean and comfortable, the water pressure in the sink was a ridiculous trickle. We complained, but saw no difference. Maid forgot washcloths one day, shampoo another. Shouldn’t have to deal with this.

Best Small Hotel

This hotel was one of the nicest that I have ever stayed in. In rooms had a very interesting layout which gave the apperance of a large space and it was a convienient layout. The staff was graet. They had a shuttle service which took us everywhere as we did nit have a car.
