“There is a hauntingly wonderful quality about this place. No longer the debutante, she’s getting some much needed cosmetic surgery. Just be aware that you will not be walking into a time capsule, pristine from the days of the Charleston. However, you’ll be walking the same halls as traveled by FDR & Eleanor, Mae West, Al Capone, Ronald Reagan, Bill Clinton, etc etc. Just walk in and know that you’re in a landmark and it’s not the Holiday Inn. However, the things that aren’t done give a sense of……

“The room was clean and welcoming. The beds were super comfortable. The staff were friendly and prompt. It was so convenient to have a shuttle to Oaklawn, the concert venue.”

“Staff polite , friendly, attentive, great Selections of continental breakfast was exceptional. Enjoyed quiet stay & was able to relax with fur baby so, much better than leaving back at home. “We lived on the first floor. At around 8 o'clock in the evening, the corridor was very noisy. It might be the guests staying there. It lasted for a while and then became quiet. Everything else is fine”
