“I heard about Benmiller Inn over 25 years ago and had always wanted to stay there. Unfortunately, it seems I should have visited 25 years ago. This is no longer a luxury retreat and I found many of the glowing reviews quite misleading. Our stay got off to a poor start when the unenthusiastic front desk couldn't locate our reservation. The entrance to our building smelled strongly of chlorine from the pool and felt damp, with three dehumidifiers running in the hallway. We've stayed at many……

“We stayed for two nights and had a very disappointing experience. The pool was dirty, our room was humid, and no breakfast was provided. There were people smoking nearby, so it definitely didn't feel family friendly. The worst part was the service. It seems like only one person works there – all communication is done by text message. We texted the inn asking for clean towels, and they replied saying they would change the towels every day. But when we left for the day and came back in the……

“The room was nice and clean. The strange thing was there was no staff to meet us when we arrived. Instead, there was a sign to call a phone number and the owners in the next house came over to show us to our rooms then left us. We were the only people in the building until we called again for breakfast the next morning when he came over again to make it. There is no pub as the pictures would suggest. This is a 6 room b&b with owners next door situation not a hotel/motel.”
