“Excellent hotel, was a bit disappointed with breakdast, it was still good but have had better. The only thing i found that was annoying, was the room doors are spring loaded and no one seemed to know how to shut a door quietly. When the doors bang shut the rooms aroind shook”

“I thought it was in a good position in the city. Not too far from the city centre but far enough away to avoid the hustle and bustle. Nice to be down by the river too. One of the nights we were there, there was a stag group making an awful lot of noise outside the window. I felt someone should have told them to keep the noise down or go inside. I didn’t like the design of the bedside lights. Nearly bashed my head on one twice. Also the bathroom could have done with an extra shelf.”

“No toilet paper and other amenities refill, been talked to the staff a few times and get ignored about bath tub stopper no one come and check or fix and unable to help us change the room. The hotel charged twice and still cannot get a refund… bad experience ever! ”

“Used this hotel as a overnight stop en route to Arran and was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the room the meals available in the pub and an excellent breakfast.”

“Spa was nice, room was exceptional in terms of the view, decor and comfort. receptionist very welcoming. Bar area no atmosphere at all. Only used for drinks can’t comment on the food. Staff nice enough. Breakfast was lovely and exactly as ordered. Unfortunately during our stay there was multiple fire alarms going off through night. This in itself was annoying as it disturbed our sleep and we only had one evening booked. Lack of sleep for our big day the following day was not what we had planned……

“A strange hotel. Great location, helpful staff, clean, comfortable room and very disappointing breakfast. If they could get this resolved this hotel would be fab. Our first breakfast experience was just plain awful for an hotel that has charged nearly £400 for a three night stay. Small buffet table with a few sad looking pastries. Toaster with only choice of bread which was the plastic sliced white stuff. My wife asked for poached eggs on toast. They arrived on a cold plate and not on toast.……
