“We wanted to get away from the heat and we found a great spot for that at Glady Hideaway. Totally shaded and much cooler than out in the sun. We also like to get away from hustle and bustle when we vacation. Glady Hideaway is perfect for that. Small town Elkins nearby had everything we needed: grocery store, gas station, brewery (Big Timber Brewing $5 draft beer!), and coffee shop (Tip Top). The WiFi worked the whole time we were there which was very helpful when mapping out our hikes. Plenty of……

“Spotless, cozy cabin with everything you needed. Fire pit, Grill, covered hot tub, store, laundry, picnic table all within steps of the cabin. Super quiet at night with nothing but the beautiful sound of the river just a stone’s throw away. The windowed porch at the entrance was very convenient as well. And whatever you needed that you didn’t have, the town of Elkins was just up the road less than 15 minutes away while still giving you the enjoyment of a remote river canyon. Can’t say enough……

“In a good central location we went to Canaan valley one day and snowshoe the next day !”

“It was okay, but there were some issues with the power when checking in (no electricity and heat). Have to call the Manager to fix it—quick respond.”

“The cabin was so cute, quiet, and relaxing. There’s no potable water there though, which would have been nice to know in advance. The hosts arranged to have some more bottled water brought to up within an hour of us arriving after we reached out, and also gave us recommendations on hikes in the area. Overall, my partner and I had a lovely time and would comeback in a heartbeat. ”

“Cute cabin with plenty of space for our family of 4. The area is beautiful. While we didn't use the hot tub, we did enjoy a couple evenings around the firepit. Town is about a 10 min drive with lots of restaurants. Would stay again.”
