"Had a great weekend stay about as close as you can get to the historic Harpers Ferry location. Pretty cool to stay in such an historic building in an area of such rich history. Suite was clean & had everything we needed. Check in was smooth and simple. The multiple freight trains going past were long & loud, but that added to the uniqueness of the location/experience. "We had a great girls weekend staying at the 1799 inn. The location is great and we were able to walk out the door to all the sites, shopping, and restaurants around town. We were there during the Christmas season and the town was so nostalgic. The inn was clean and welcoming. A few things we noticed is the heating situation. We particular enjoyed the location, only a brief walk from the charming main strip, where we enjoyed meals and snowy walks. Made for a delightful weekend escape!"

It is adorable and in a town full of so much history. I highly recommend staying here. The property manager was very kind and communicated very well with us incase we needed anything. "This place could use some significant maintenance, but was fine for us; I can see why some people were less than thrilled with the facility. We took a gamble, and it was ok. Some things that stick in my memory: Of the two smoke detectors, the upstairs unit was missing from its mounting bracket and the downstairs unit had no batteries. "Since the cabin didn't have plumbing, They had a black tank under the cabin, it was so full the vapors were in the cabin. Not only was the smell so bad it set off my husband's copd, he had alot of problems breathing inside the cabin. On our check in day we arrived about 5pm, the cabin wasn't cleaned, trash, empty beer cans and unchanged bedding. We left the next morning, notified management. And to top everything off, no refund from VRBO. I recommend no one ever going here. "

"Location couldn’t be better, having a parking spot was a huge bonus. The unit needed a little tlc. The stove vent hood was very dirty. A previous renter actually wrote in the dust, clean me. The toilet was loose and wobbly. The Kureg needs replaced, doesn’t fill to the proper level. The space heater did not work. Location, location, location."

"I’ve absolutely loved staying at this place. The basement is very modern and clean and the host was very friendly and helpful. My favorite part of my stay was getting to see the acres of land. It’s such a beautiful scenery especially at sunset. The farm is in the backyard and I got to see the chickens and goats, and had some beautiful friendly farm cats around too. Definitely will come back to stay again!"

"Our stay here could not have been more amazing. Perfect location for Charles Town and Harpers Ferry. Only 10 minutes away from the National park and many of the tubing activities in the area. The apartment was beautifully decorated but still preserved the old home feel."
