Most notably, the staff was wonderful and so friendly! We had a great experience here the night before we skied at Cataloochee. A little surprise was the elk in the parking lot when we went to leave! Room was not ready when we arrived....we were early...lol They did have it ready by the scheduled time of 3:00 pm, barely. Room was clean, with all amenities as advertised. Refrigerator does not have a freezer area. Phone did not work, but was fixed right away. Hair dryer did not work, but they brought us another right away. Reached for a Kleenex, and the chrome cover fell off. Hot tub was out of service. Never found the "designated smoking area". Was told to smoke anywhere, at least 8 feet from the building. Breakfast was good. Plenty of choices, and the dining area was kept clean between use. Staff was very personable, and willing to help as needed.
