“We booked this property for a group of friends to have a weekend away. It was excellent!! just what we needed. Plenty of beds, airy, lovely views. “A group of 17 stayed at this gem of a place for a "quiet" stag do. The Bunkhouse is absolutely fantastic. The hosts are very friendly and made us feel welcomed from minute one. I have zero negative comments to give. Will 100% return. Thank you. ”

“We had a wonderful stay at Settlers lodge. Beautifully decorated and very well equipped! Loved seeing the squirrels around the garden! Set in a great area for walking and exploring. We enjoyed both the local pub and also a takeaway from the nearby pub. Both we would recommend. Cannot wait to come for a return visit . Thanks again!”

“The location was amazing, the bunk house was lovely and clean. It had everything that you needed. There were only 2 issues that we had as a group of mixed age ranges. The stairs were very steep and we had to help a member down due to mobility problems. The toilet being downstair in the living/dinning area, very little privacy and it was a bit of a nightmare when you went in the middle of the night because of the stairs. But that is more a us problem as we should of checked that out……

“We had a great week in this lovely cottage in beautiful surroundings. Anita and Bruce were lovely, helpful hosts, with suggestions for lots of walks from the house. We really appreciated all the extras they provided - homemade bread, butter, milk, wine, cake and dog treats! The cottage was so comfortable, with plenty of space and big beds. The area was so peaceful, with lovely walks and lots of places nearby to visit.Thank you again! ”
