“Hot water was scarce when we arrived and had a shower, but nice and hot in the morning. Rooms were clean, beds were comfy, extra blankets provided were very much welcome. Checkin was fabulous with extremely helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast was awesome. Highly recommend.”

“Staff and food excellent. Booked a Superior Double room at £172, unfortunately we got a family room with a single bed and what looked like a Queen bed. Black mould on the bathroom ceiling and a light hanging out, bare wires above the bedroom mirror, heating was not on and we came back to a cold room, had to get the staff to sort the heating out, and although there is tea and coffee in the room with a kettle, there was no milk provided and so we could not make a cuppa in the morning.”

“I rarely leave negative reviews for independent B&Bs, but this stay was extremely disappointing. The room I was allocated was not the room type I had booked. It was advertised as a double room but was actually two single beds pushed together, leaving an uncomfortable gap between them. The room itself had several maintenance issues. There was a bad smell coming from the drain, the TV lost signal for most of our stay, the blind was broken and permanently stuck open, and the ground-floor window……
