“Beautiful area”

“This is a beautiful property and breathtaking setting. Nestled up against the mountain, nature is up close. You can even see the High Camp tram from the property. The building encloses on three sides a beautiful park/courtyard with paved walkways, mature trees, and various seating, outdoor games and recreational features, including a swimming pool and three hot tubs. The Olympics history is also seen and felt. The Tyrolian-style building was built as lodging for the 1960 Olympics athletes, and……

“Everything was great!”

“Loved the location and peacefulness of the room and property. I truly fell in love with Donner Lake, and I will definitely stay here again! We had everything we needed there!”

“Very conveniently located for visiting Truckee and for short hikes on the PCT.”

“Immaculate studio. Up to date kitchen. Clean, quiet, well located, convenient!”

“We had a wonderful weekend in Truckee and at Donner Lake. The location was perfect and access to the many activities. We loved being right on the lake and the vacation rental was exactly what we were looking for!”

“Not staying again”

“Booking, communication and location were great. The unit itself was fine, seemed well used. Negatives were there was no place to put wet boots (towel/rug), most people have snowy boots staying here this time of year. Other thing was the kitchen floor had broken pieces of glass and was not very clean. ”

“Room was near and clean, we didn’t have a lake view but really enjoyed sitting on the patio enjoying our coffee and the fresh air”

“Very clean and right on Donner Lake. Parking is very easy. Overall, excellent.”

“We were not told there was not an elevator the bed was not very comfortable the screen sliding door was impossible to open”

“Reasonable price for what you get with this unit”

“Great spot-clean, comfortable, convenient.”

“The room was in a good condition. It had ample sheets and towels. The only thing I felt not good was shower gel/body wash. they didn't provide one. ”

“This was our first stay at Donner Lake Village, and it exceeded our expectations. The location immediately on Donner Lake is beautiful. Our second-floor unit provided a wonderful view of the lake. We had easy access to a private beach for the property along with access to two separate docks that allowed us to sit over the water. The property is in walking distance to a restaurant and ice cream shop as well as short drive from many dining options in Truckee. On site parking was abundant and……

“The listing is misleading. The "beach" is a very small area that drops off quickly behind the boat docks. The room is on the ground floor but has a large step up into the bathroom which was a problem for members in our group with mobility issues. When I brought this to the front desks attention, I was told we could check out but would not be refunded.”
