“Lovely hotel/inn to stay at! The staff were excellent and quite helpful - even with our late arrival. Very comfortable room with private bathroom with shower that works well. Breakfast in the morning was quite good! Thanks for the lovely stay!”

“This hotel needs a complete refurb. The room had old chipped furniture, stained carpet, cracked ceiling & scuffed paintwork. The mattress was lumpy. A latte coffee was £5 came cold, in small glass , two sips & it was gone. Bar area very tired, ripped seating. There's a musty smell of neglect mixed with a sweeter detergent smell, quite unpleasant. We, unfortunately, paid £200 for a night stay expecting a stay worthy of that amount. I would have been disappointed paying half that amount. ……

“What an amazing find…a beautifully maintained hotel in the heart of one Scotland’s most beautiful places. The rooms are a good size but the attraction is that they are exquisitely decorated and well-equipped. There are no staff on the premises but the rooms are serviced each day and the amazing variety of breakfast ingredients (including locally-sourced smoked salmon and cheeses as well as granola, fresh rolls, croissants and preserves, juice etc.)”

“The accommodation is modernised throughout with quality furnishings, fittings and amenities. Mary greeted us at the door and is very welcoming and friendly. Excellent cooked breakfast and plenty of other choices for breakfast.”

“The hotel is a few minutes walk from Mallaig train station, and the ferry terminal. There are two supermarkets and a few restaurants around the village so that one can easily get refreshments. I was amazed that the hotel is in a delicate traditional wooden decor, and has a relaxing garden terrace. I also enjoyed the window view a lot! The room was clean and it’s reception was excellent. I strongly recommend anyone who plan to visit any Hebrides islands, give the hotel a chance,.”
