“Room was clean and comfortable. Requires climbing a long exterior staircase. We had booked a ferry crossing from Mallaig to Lochboisdale. An hour before checkout, the woman cooking our breakfast told us the ferries were cancelled due to weather and that there were no rooms here or anywhere else in the town. We asked if we could leave our bags at the Chlachain after checkout while we went to the ferry terminal for more information. She said no, we would have to take them to a luggage storage down……

“Our family had such a great stay at the Toravaig House Hotel. From the moment we arrived the team was welcoming and helpful. The rooms were beautiful and clean. “The hotel is a few minutes walk from Mallaig train station, and the ferry terminal. There are two supermarkets and a few restaurants around the village so that one can easily get refreshments. I was amazed that the hotel is in a delicate traditional wooden decor, and has a relaxing garden terrace. I also enjoyed the window view a lot! The room was clean and it’s reception was excellent.
