“We wanted to get away from the heat and we found a great spot for that at Glady Hideaway. Totally shaded and much cooler than out in the sun. We also like to get away from hustle and bustle when we vacation. Glady Hideaway is perfect for that. Small town Elkins nearby had everything we needed: grocery store, gas station, brewery (Big Timber Brewing $5 draft beer!), and coffee shop (Tip Top). “Spotless, cozy cabin with everything you needed. Fire pit, Grill, covered hot tub, store, laundry, picnic table all within steps of the cabin. Super quiet at night with nothing but the beautiful sound of the river just a stone’s throw away. The windowed porch at the entrance was very convenient as well. And whatever you needed that you didn’t have, the town of Elkins was just up the road less than 15 minutes away while still giving you the enjoyment of a remote river canyon. Can’t say enough...

“This was a perfect place to rest up between hiking and snowboarding. So close to my favorite hike, right next to a creek with a fire pit. So relaxing!”

“The cabin was so cute, quiet, and relaxing. There’s no potable water there though, which would have been nice to know in advance. The hosts arranged to have some more bottled water brought to up within an hour of us arriving after we reached out, and also gave us recommendations on hikes in the area. Overall, my partner and I had a lovely time and would comeback in a heartbeat. ”

“It was the perfect size for my daughter and I. It was 1 room with 2 beds, a kitchenette with a full sized fridge, double recliner, and bathroom with a shower. The owners were great and any communication was quick. We absolutely loved the double recliner. It was so comfy! The location was great. We had no trouble finding it. “Great location close to Blackwater Falls State Park and the two towns of Davis and Thomas. Communications with host suburb! All I needed to cook meals with stove, microwave, pots/pans, coffeemaker; Small space but just right for my solo retreat at waterfalls, rivers, trails for hiking! Highly recommend !!”
