“It was very clean and the room had what we needed. My main criticism is that they state breakfast included and it meets that at only the bare minimum. There were heating pots and other items that hinted to a better breakfast at other times in the season, which is disappointing.”

“Really enjoyed our 3 day stay at this quaint, private small hotel. At first it might not look like much... but the rooms were recently renovated and super nice and pretty clean. We felt safe, it was quiet almost all nights. Breakfast was really good. And all the staff we encountered were helpful and kind. It is a little far from some of the places we had on our WV list to explore, however, it's in a beautiful part of the state, lots of stores close by, and for the price point it was great!……

“Spotless, cozy cabin with everything you needed. Fire pit, Grill, covered hot tub, store, laundry, picnic table all within steps of the cabin. Super quiet at night with nothing but the beautiful sound of the river just a stone’s throw away. The windowed porch at the entrance was very convenient as well. And whatever you needed that you didn’t have, the town of Elkins was just up the road less than 15 minutes away while still giving you the enjoyment of a remote river canyon. Can’t say enough……

“We wanted to get away from the heat and we found a great spot for that at Glady Hideaway. Totally shaded and much cooler than out in the sun. We also like to get away from hustle and bustle when we vacation. Glady Hideaway is perfect for that. Small town Elkins nearby had everything we needed: grocery store, gas station, brewery (Big Timber Brewing $5 draft beer!), and coffee shop (Tip Top). “Overall this was an excellent stay. Couple of things would have been nice conveniences, for example, extra blankets, tissues, paper for the fireplace or a fireplace starter. The cabin had a tub, but no shower, which was slightly disappointing. The cabin was clean and comfortable otherwise. We were able to do exactly what we wanted, which was to disconnect for a few days!”
