“Nothing fancy, but very clean rooms”

The staff not only was unhelpful but left me (a woman traveling alone with children) in an unsecurable room and did not help. We ended up leaving and booking a hotel elsewhere. “We arrived and at check in, I was asked to pay for the room when I had already paid for the room at the time of booking. I told the front desk person that it was already paid for but he insisted that the charge didn't go through. I paid at the front desk for the room. I then saw BOTH charges appear on my statements. I contacted the hotel and was told it was a hold and needed to wait 7 days. It is the 7th day and the charge is still on both cards. The room smelled of mold and the bathroom was not……

“For $175 a night, I was excited for the spa room I saw online with the private hot tub right in the bedroom. In reality, the hot tub/deep bath tub was tucked away in the bathroom. The water came out rust colored when we turned it on, and there were lots of things floating. Not sure if it was old soap scum or someone else's dead skin. The room was clean in the areas that mattered, no bed bugs or anything, but the carpet was gross, mattress and bedding had what looked like old blood stains, and I……
