Everything there was either booked or ridiculously priced. We did all our activities and meals in Hastings. But it was worth the 30 minute drive to stay in a clean but inexpensive hotel. It was also very quiet even though there were many other guests. As stated, they don't serve breakfast. My husband walked over to Casey's , very close by, and picked up breakfast and donuts. We had a little confusion at check-in, and the staff responded immediately ,virtually, on the check-in screen. It was seamless, and very professional. I knew by booking this was a small hotel, and there was no front desk etc. What I didn’t except was killing 4 spiders in our room in the first 2 hours of being there. The air conditioner kept shutting off so our room was pretty humid and warm at times. It was dial thermostat, not a button or number setting.There is no lid on the toilet, and the toilet sits very low. The carpet was very outdated. We ended up leaving a day earlier than planned.
