Kicked back outside by the fireplace and relaxed. We unplug when we are there. No news, no phones, no stress. Not too many full-time neighbors. (very quiet). Those that live there are always friendly and helpful. Highly recommend a stay for those looking to return to a simpler time, even just for a few days.”

“Quiet and picturesque getaway for my wife and I with our 2 kids and their spouses and kids. Loads of linens and all the appliances and a small fenced area out back for smaller pets or children to play. Close to Shiloh National Park and other small towns with several options for things to do. Great park in Savannah just down the road. ”

We came from Hickory, KY and Metropolis, IL to celebrate my son's 12th birthday, and this beautiful old bank turned into the perfect history lesson. We were fascinated by the original vault (and loved getting to sleep in it!), and we spent time talking about what life might ve been like here in the 1920s.
