The location was great and the bed was comfortable. The hotel needs some updating, but is charming. The shower was a little weak, but adequate.

TV was not working, told receptionist on the first night. He came to fix but couldn’t. Said it will be fixed the next day but no one came. Told receptionist (different one) the next day about TV again, she was unpleasant. I told her the hotel review will not be good, she said sure go ahead, did not offer any apologies! Hotel was old and tied, windows were painted shut, room size was good, location was good

It was a lovely"old lady" of an hotel. Staff were very helpful. The location was inconvenient with no car parking except for 5 cars. We were informed that there was additional free parking but we had to pay.

The hotel is in a great central location but with limited parking. The room was very small so it did not feel like value for money as it was a very expensive rate. I paid less for a much nicer, better room in central London (St James) a couple of weeks ago. The bathroom was a good size though. The breakfast was very good but a strange system of paying for it at reception before being allowed to enter the dining room after showing the receipt to the staff there.I think the hotel could use some upgrade to the decor and investment.

Location very good. Actually liked the ambiance in the lobby. Rooms were OK. The staff seemed more interested in discussing their issues than giving us any attention on check in. When they speak with us, their friendliness was completely disingenuous. Checkout was barely acknowledged and no questions about our stay.

Clean room and comfortable bed. Great location beside railway station, but quiet. Located in the heart of the old town. Breakfast was adequate but the coffee terrible. Elevator is old & creaky & door is stubborn on opening.
