“The location was perfect. We loved that it had easy beach access. We were disappointed that our condo didn’t have air conditioning. Also, the TV was missing from the master bedroom. The condo was not clean and seemed rundown. The beds and pillows were very uncomfortable. There were bugs and geckos inside and they made a mess. Since there was a cleaning fee we would have expected the condo to be clean. All that being said, we did enjoy our time in Kauai.”

“We love this property! This is our second trip to Kauai and both times we stayed at this Marriott. The pools are saltwater and so relaxing to be in. We enjoyed the hot tub too. This property is located directly off Poipu Beach. Right down the beach you can see the turtles at sunset and the occasional monk seals. Many of the people who stay there are time share owners but we are not. We basically had a nice hotel room. The reasoning for the 4 stars was our AC. We had maintenance come in on 4……

“Staff was courteous and very responsive snd helpful. Unit was well stocked with beach chsirs, umbrella, surf boards, etc. Kitchen was also well equipped. Couple of things not so good: 1. The view from lanai was ok. Ocean is rather far with tennis courts, swimming pool and and a few other buildings in between. 2. Bathroom (mainly the tub-shower combo) is old and dated. Drain cover was missing leaving drain exposed. Sluding glass doors on the tub-shower are old and looked kinda dirty and dated.”

"Great value stay in Kauai, especially for families. This is probably the best value hotel we’ve stayed at in Hawaii. It’s not a luxury resort, but it offers everything you need. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well maintained without feeling outdated. The location is a huge plus. It’s close to the airport and within easy walking distance to Coconut Marketplace, where you can find restaurants and a grocery store. Not needing to drive for meals or snacks was extremely convenient. The hotel’s restaurant, Lava Lava Beach Club, is also delicious and worth trying. One of the most memorable moments of our stay was spotting a monk seal resting right on the beach in front of the hotel—such a special and unexpected experience. A couple of small things could be improved: the shower pressure in our room was a bit weak, and the public microwave in the lobby wasn’t very easy to find. Overall, this hotel is a great option for families. Our 2-year-old had a wonderful time here, and we would happily stay again on our next trip to Kauai."

"Room is clean, location is good, near many food options, easy access to many places. However, charged for the resort fee that covers breakfast, morning yoga, and parking, their breakfast is a joke, package pastries and cereal, all the unhealthy premade package food. But that is the only complaint, everything else is good."
