Mid-range hotel, consistent with the price. Very friendly staff. Overall clean. However, there was an extremely strong perfume smell in the room, and it was impossible to air it out. The smell was still there the next morning. I should have asked to change rooms, but I didn’t, thinking it would go away… I was wrong!

We had a great one-night stay at The Darling. Both the hotel and our specific room were immaculate. It felt luxurious just to chill on premises and the rainfall shower was a 10/10. We enjoyed the heated pool and had dinner at the rooftop restaurant Elderwood. We interacted with staff a few times and always got quick and helpful responses. Was treated with a bottle of champagne in the room and a slice of cheesecake at dinner for my birthday. Also the free room treats are a small but noticeable gesture and every hotel should do the same. Would definitely stay again. Would love to see the other rooms and try breakfast at Elderwood next time.
