Easy fast check in, Guy at reception was friendly and helpful, clean room, comfy bed, great shower but couldnt get channels on T.V but was ok with me as I just slept.
The hotel is very convenient to all of Mackay, enjoyed our mini break only small down is the very minimal range of equipment in the fitness centre. The breakfast was really great super selection, highly suggest booking breakfast when booking your room. Overall agreat stay as usual many thanks

Moss on Wood room service was great, large room and comfy, will stay again for sure
The property was in an ok area. From our balcony, we could see graffiti on the building next to us. The room was nice & we really enjoyed our stay here, but the last 24 hours - they had a leak or something in the hallway & the area right outside our room smelled horrible like dead fish or something. Not sure what happened. All in all, we stayed 4 nights & we had a good time. The room was comfortable & was what we expected. Would recommend to anyone staying in this area, just note it’s not perfect.
We stayed in a studio for a night before a wedding. The staff allowed us to check in early so that we could get ready in the room before having to leave for the event. The room was clean and big, and the bathroom had good toiletries, as well as a hair dryer and magnifying mirror. Everything in the room worked well. We couldn't hear other guests at all even though the hotel was pretty full. Parking is easy and free. We have stayed before and will stay again!

Ok but a few issues
The room, bed, bathroom, parking were all ok however the aircon vent was filthy and looked like covered in mould.
The old $100 deposit to be repaid in 5+ days is rediculous - should be refunded much more quickly.

The first night my son and I were woken up at least ten times. We gave up trying to sleep at 4am. People were just having fun but the coming and going all night was really frustrating. The second night we were kindly moved to a room away from the lifts. By 4am we were up again. The rooms had everything we needed and staff were lovely, but I certainly wouldn't recommend staying there on a weekend if sleep is something you need.
As you walk into the lobby, you are greeted by a friendly reception area, and staff. The area is clean, and very well looked after, so my expectations were high.
Unfortunately that’s where it ended for the good times. Once we hopped out of the dodgy elevator, we walked the 6th floor hallway to our room. There were holes in walls, doors painted white, while others were varnished timber, windows were not sealing, which made the wind howl, and just a general uncared for vibe amongst the place.
Then we got to our room. On the surface it looked fine, until we saw multiple stains on the carpet, a pair of socks under the tv unit, a broken dishwasher, and honestly quite a dated interior. We walked to our bedroom to find that one window above the bed had the locking mechanism broken, so it would not close all the way, leading the the wind and rain absolutely howling through 24/7. I had to sacrifice a shirt to the window just to keep us from getting soaked in bed. Our bedroom door had been punched through at some point, and the nails from where they reattached the door skin were still visible. Not to mention the terrible patch job over the hole. The shower head was the cheapest available, and did an average job, and the lack of furniture on the balcony really made the moss growing stand out.
For over $500 a night for a 2 bed apartment, this one is an easy miss. Not anywhere close to what we expected from a Rydges establishment.
Won’t be returning!
