"The place is very centrally located and very spacious. The host was extremely accommodating and very communicative. My only suggestion would be to rent a very small car. The offsite parking is extremely tight and requires a bit of flexibility to get in and out."

"Property was in a great location, clean, welcoming, and a bargain. Slightly difficult to find the first time then was easy sailing. Communication from host was top notch. Only difficulty i experienced was adjusting to the height of ceilings. I struck my head routinely on the sloped ceilings, between rooms, and especially bathroom. I am approximately 71.5 inches/182cm for reference. My daughter at 63 inches/160cm was fine. All in all we enjoyed our stay!"

"Had never been to Madeira before but I think Funchal is a great base. The house is tucked away in a residential area with lovely gardens and ocean views. Lots of space for four adults (and probably more), though more than 2 couples wouldn't each have a bathroom, the third one on the main floor, while handy, is just a toilet and washbasin. "In a word, fabulous. The villa is located in a very quiet area, the stay was in perfect peace (the occasional and distant dog barking is not disturbing at all and the neighbors' dogs are completely calm). It's almost a miracle that the villa is also a few minutes drive from the centre of Funchal, also a large supermarket with groceries, meat, fish and everything you need and also a great starting point for any trip.
