“Such a beautiful property. My daughter and I used the game room for relaxing. I really enjoyed the breakfast and meeting/talking with the owners. They were very friendly and helpful. I would defiantly choose the inn at oriental anytime visit this area. You can walk the entire town from the location. I walked to the deli, coffee shop, river and the marina. Driving the short distance to New Bern was also a treat. Very cute town.”

“Hosts were very gracious with our obnoxiously late arrival time. 😂”

“The room was very clean. The hosts went above and beyond to accommodate any needs and make our stay a pleasant experience. A beautiful table was set for breakfast and it did not disappoint. It was delicious! I highly recommend staying in this property.”

“Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Came to River Dunes by boat. First time staying in the suites as opposed to our boat. The Egret room was large and spacious. Loved having the mini kitchen area.”

“Everything was very clean. The back deck had a lovely view. The dock was large. Saw all kinds of wildlife. Went crabbing and caught so many we got tired of it! The stars were beautiful. So quiet there. I will be going back for sure.”

“We enjoyed our stay very much. The house was clean and comfortable. The AC was awesome! The kitchen had everything we needed, the beds were comfy, there was plenty of hot water. I will definitely stay here again.”

“Beautifully decorated, comfy bed and pillows. Quiet and clean. Great spot for a romantic getaway. ”

“Super cute cottage. The surrounding areas were nice. Met with the owners of the property which had large fire pit, if you like farm animals like ducks chickens and goats you’d love this home. We did run into an issue with the water heater not operating correctly the owner attempted to fix it but was unable. We were offered to use a shower room attached to the home. We had a 2 night booking and would stay again as the only inconvenience was no hot water for both days.”

“What a gem!!!! The PERFECT place to stay not minutes from New Bern but out in the country. Everything is perfect for an outdoorsy feeling with every comfort you could want. Details have been considered in this well appointed little home. The owners were so nice and we loved seeing the farm animals. Will certainly come again and bring friends to rent the other cabin!”

“This rental was well furnished and comfortable. The home was very clean, appliances, linens and bedding were of good quality and little extras such as coffee, water in the fridge were much appreciated. Also, location was great…in the heart of Oriental. Overall, our stay was a pleasant experience!”

“No shampoo or body wash in house. No laundry detergent for the laundry machines. Host was nice and answers the phone quickly, but the excuse of them losing money on people stealing the shampoo/body wash is no excuse. Luckily family dollar nearby wasn’t closed yet. $10 to buy full bottles of face wash, shampoo, body wash. They should at least tell guests early that they don’t provide those, otherwise if someone comes late expecting that to be available, after all stores are closed, what are they……

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Quick anniversary trip for the night. It was perfect!”

“I stayed at one of the cottages and it was probably the most adorable night away from home I've ever had. The room was immaculate the bedding was excellent and the bathroom was amazing. My daughter and I stayed here as it was the only place near Oriental that had any space the weekend I went. A little fancier than we would normally pick but everyone was really nice. My only negative about this space was that the water was not really cold in the shower. I know that sounds like a first world……
