"\*\*The positives: \*It was an easy stay, with low-stress check-in and check-out, no 'vacate the room so we can clean,' and a vending machine and shelves of manga on the first floor. \*I was able to open the window far enough to stick my head out and get a breath of fresh air, which was nice. \*The coin laundry machines got the job done: 2.5hrs, 600 yen, clean and dry clothes.👍 \*\*Neutral: \*There was construction going on, but aside from a bit of occasional noise during the day, it was a non-factor. \*\*The negatives: \*When I arrived, the room had some REALLY dusty spots, like behind the TV and on top of the mini-fridge. As in, 'years and years of accumulated dust.' I get that those places aren't often looked at by customers, but how hard is to clean them once every few months? c'mon now. \*The room and the bathroom felt pretty dated, but everything worked, I suppose. \*The bathroom had some mold/mildew along the grout, although a bit of airing out the room helped that a lot. You might try that: Open the window and the door at the same time for 5-10 minutes while you're cleaning it. (...which seemed to be something you haven't done any time lately.) \*The laundry room wasn't just dusty....it was kinda filthy. ugh. Someone clean those carpets, please."

"Room was clean so can't fault them on that but it's a very dated hotel. It is okay just for sleeping in as the location is extremely convenient, right opposite Shin-Yamaguchi station so easy to get to locations such as Hagi Castle Town and Akiyoshido Caves. Free Breakfast was included but the offerings were basic in my opinion so I didn't go back after the first day."
