“It's an old building with very cozy rooms, not a shiny new resort with a pool and gym. Instead you get a building that fits the area and makes you feel welcome to the area. The rooms offer gorgeous views across the river, the staff are very friendly and the rooms are spotless. "The stay was eye-opening, though not in a good way. The room carried a sharp odor, the carpet had multiple stains, and several surfaces were obviously not cleaned. Even the headboard was sticky, and the desk chair was missing a leg—hardly what you’d expect in any well-maintained hotel. Service at the front desk reflected the same lack of care: little acknowledgment when you arrive, almost inaudible communication, credit cards left on the counter instead of handed back, and no room number mentioned with the key.
