Staff was very accommodating from valet to check in. Room was beautifully decorated with a modern twist. The rain shower was a bonus! The valet,ed ,was a sweetheart too ,both he and chris remembered me from 3 months ago when i stayed there .i didnt see monica yesterday,but she is always nice too. Every staff i have encountered is nice and i love the beauty and history of the inn. And while I really enjoy the quirkiness of the older parts of the hotel there were some things about the room that were annoying. The floors are very uneven. The lighting is very dark and you can't really open the blinds because the room is on a corner and there's no privacy. My room also smelled a bit like cigarettes. Not in an overpowering way, but it was definitely there. The shower has no door, so the water splashes all over the rest of the bathroom and has to be mopped up. The bathroom door wouldn't stay opened or closed so I had to have it continually hitting me in the rear any time I was at the sink. Walls are very thin.
