The staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were spacious, comfortable and tastefully decorated. Loved the artwork throughout the home. Bed was super comfortable and enjoyed making a fire in fireplace.

Parking was excellent and walked everywhere around town and on the Harbor Rail Trail. Short direct ride to Plum Island where we spent an entire afternoon on trails and to beaches. Loved the fall colors! Meals were excellent at FishSide, and Michael’s for Baked Haddock Friday Special. Just a short getaway but took our time coming and going to enjoy the autumn season.

We loved our stay and were so happy we chose the Compass Rose. The suite was spacious and comfortable. The location was wonderful, within easy walking distance of everything but tucked away behind a lovely courtyard so it was quiet and private. We loved the bunny rabbit that visited the courtyard :-) Fresh baked cookies, port, and other treats were in constant supply. Addison and Kenzie were so helpful, professional, and friendly. The breakfast was very good and nicely done. We would love to stay here again.

Rooms were spacious, lots of charm we were faked out because it looked older, but it was new construction with an older flare. All amenities looked new. Lookout over the river was nice. Short walk ( or crawl) to many eating spots and stores

Kim and Addison were wonderful hosts. Compass Rose has cozy and beautiful indoor and outdoor space. Within walking to the wharf park, lots of shopping and eating places to explore. Central to a lot of New England. Newburyport is a charming town!

We stayed at the Compass Rose Inn because it was close to a concert we were attending. We were able to walk back and forth. We were very happy with the Compass Rose. Both Inn Keepers we met were so nice and helpful. I Expected just a adequate breakfast, but it was very good.
