Family beach getaway

Perfect place to meet up with our adult kids and enjoy a week at the beach. The back porch, hammock, and dock were a hit. Loved watching the fish at night. A 4 minute walk to the beach was a definite bonus.

Great location for a boat

We love bringing our boat and being in the canal is a perfect spot because we are close to the bay and the beach. Not far from boat launch. This was our second time to stay here and plan on coming back again if possible

Well equipped kitchen. Nice deck with outdoor furniture and barbecue grill to enjoy fishing in the canal. House needs some updates. There was a construction next to the house.

Perfect in Perdido

The house was a great fit for our family. The State beach was short walk and due to limited parking the beach was sparsely populated. The dock was an outstanding area for the children to catch pin fish and small crabs. The bedrooms were very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked for all of your cooking needs and the common space was quite ample. Overall everything we could have wanted.

What an incredible vacation home

When our grown sons arrived for our annual vacation their response was “dad outdid himself this time”. Perfect location and the accommodations were amazing. Crabbing and fishing off the dock, taking the boat out or walking to the beach, were so easy to do. 2020 we’ll book it again!!!

Summer Fun

Great Vacay!!! Two family’s with kids and we had a great stay. Owners communicated well and place was very clean. House was recently remodeled as well. We pulled our boat right up to dock and everything was a quick boat ride away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Family fun in Perdido Key

Very nice beach house with everything needed for a weeks stay. The only complaint my be the outdoor furniture on the dock. Wasn’t comfortable and not very sturdy. Other than that, everything else was was great. We had so much fun during our stay!

Beautiful vacation spot

This home is very nice and clean. The owners were easy to contact any time that we had questions. There was lots of space for a family. We enjoyed our stay and the beach was perfect. It was very private and wasn't crowded . We had a wedding on the beach and it couldn't have been any better. We ate at several restaurants in the area and they were all very good. I would love to go back again and I'd recommend this house to everyone.

Wonderful stay

Traveling with 2 teens we need space and this was perfect. Master on the main. The walk to the beach is very hot so took the car just up to a public beach. We really enjoyed the dock behind the house and spent more time there. We had awful weather off and on so the covered porch was used a lot too. Would definitely stay here again if we go back to perdido. Plenty of restaurants within 20 minutes or so too.

Perfect vacation house!

The house was absolutely perfect! We enjoyed the rocking chairs on the balcony and lounging out on the dock. The kitchen was extremely well stocked with plenty if utensils and pots for cooking the delicious local seafood. It's the best location for a beach trip. Its only a short walk to the beach. We took our kayak out in the canal which was lovely. Also, the state park bike trails are only a 10 minute drive away. We look forward to another stay! Thanks again.

Awesome house in quiet area

The property is great, we were 2 adults and a 16 month old and had a great time. The house could easily have handled more kids or an additional couple for our purposes. Staying in October, the nearby houses were largely empty, and we were often the only people on the beach for several hundred yards. The house is very well equipped for trips to the beach. There is plenty to do in the evening, all within a couple of miles on the island.

Fishing trip

The place was great, we arrived a bit early and walked around the outside enjoying the view. Once we could check in, everyone in our group admired the place and was surprised at how nice the house was. We were 9 guys there for fishing and a couple of the guys commented that we could not tell our wives how nice the house was or they would want to come with us. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, we had plenty of room to dock the boat and the beds were all comfortable. Everyone enjoyed the outdoor shower, after coming in from fishing. If we plan another trip to FL, we will certainly book this house again.

Most relaxing beach vacation ever!

We have spent a lot of our vacations at the beach. This vacation was by far the most relaxing beach trip. My husband loves to fish and kayak, the rest of the family loves the beach. This vacation home gave us all the best of everything. My husband could get up in the morning and put in the kayak directly from the back yard dock. The rest of us could take the very short walk to the mostly private beach. Upon arrival we found the house very very clean, and well stocked with everything we needed. The grocery store was just a short drive down the road. This home is lovely. We plan to come back. Hopefully very soon.

Relaxing vacation

Cindy's place was beautiful, and clean. Communication and check in was easy as well. I loved sitting in the back deck drinking my coffee every morning. The outdoor furniture needs an update but Im sure as a renter, that will happen in the future. The inside and outside were perfect for enjoyment and relaxation. We hit the beach everyday! The walk was longer than I expected but I think Hurricane Sally had something to do with that. My kids loved the dock and swam in the bay several times. We were blessed to see dolphins swimming in the bay as well and that was such a neat experience. There is plenty of wildlife to see. The area is family friendly and we would definitely stay here again!! Thank you for letting us rent your beautiful home. It's truly a hidden jem.

Nice Neighborhood/Close to Beach

PROS: The home was clean, the kitchen was well stocked, the location was close to the beach and at the time of year we were there, the beach was secluded. It was great to have the dock for fishing and relaxing. It was easy to communicate via text with the owner. The neighbors that share the duplex were really nice to talk with and helpful when we had some issues with the keypad. CONS: It would be nice if each bathroom had 2 rolls of TP and there were more paper towels and trashbags. We had to go out and purchase all of these things. We were there for 12 days and it just seemed to us like some of the basic necessities were not there for the duration of our time. The ice maker did not work, so we also had to purchase ice. We spent a lot of time on the dock and the wood furniture was really in need of repair or replacement. Arms were missing, the wood was flaking and overall really unstable for the most part. The chains on the bikes were rusty and the pedals wouldn't move, so we couldn't really use them for biking around the neighborhood. All in all, it was a good place in a good location, but just needing a bit of updating/repair of some of the things.

Very nice, relaxing and quiet area. Very nice house with lots of amenities

The house is in a small neighborhood surrounded by a state park, so it is very quiet without the hustle and bustle of the "high rise area" about a mile away in either direction. There is a canal that goes to the Inter Coastal Waterway at the back of the house with a dock that you can fish from. I caught several small fish and blue crabs there. The beach is about 100 yards away. The major appliances are all up to date and modern (He washer and dryer). The kitchen is stocked with ample cooking utensils for cooking most anything along with plates, silverware and glasses. All the beds were comfortable and the master bathroom had a large shower with a built in seat. There is a Wal-Mart Supercenter about 15 minutes away and a Winn-Dixie and Publix stores just across the bridge. I prefer Rouses Market in Orange Beach or Gulf Shores, it is family owned and has an excellent seafood and meat department (it was the only place I could find live crawfish for a crawfish boil). A little further to drive but I think it is worth it. I can not say enough good things about the owners of the house. I dealt with Cindy mostly by e-mail and she always got back to me within a hour. There was quite a few beach towels and kids water toys for your use. This was my first time staying in this area and I will be back after driving around the other "high rise area's" including Pensacola Beach. I also drove around and looked at some of the other houses that I thought about renting, but am glad I chose this one and will return here.
