This hotel is part of the RCI Timeshare group, so expect a long, drawn-out check-in process. We were asked by the front desk clerk to speak with another hotel representative down the hall while our card-key room keys were prepared. We told the front desk clerk that speaking to anyone about a timeshare was not necessary since we had stayed at the hotel previously and were not interested in a timeshare. We were told that the hotel had undergone a lot of changes since our last stay and we really should speak to the other representative. As expected, it was just as ploy to entice us into purchasing a timeshare. Additionally, we informed the front desk clerk that we were Expedia VIP Gold members. We asked if a room upgrade was available. We were told that an upgrade was not available. We stayed at the hotel for seven nights. The hotel was no where near capacity. Consequently, we were highly suspicious that a room upgrade was available, but not offered. The hotel and facilities are beautiful. We received the room that we booked. It looked exactly as it appeared on the Expedia app. Unfortunately, our room (#615) was adjacent the hotel employee entrance. The hotel employees seemed to take their breaks in and around this entrance all day and all night, having long, loud conversations, laughing, smoking and applying spray deodorant (really-we witnessed two employees applying spray deodorant). After the first sleepless night, we asked to be moved to another room.
