Flavorless, bland mediocre food. poor service.

The food sucked, from the craptacular breakfast buffet, to the restaurants serving dinner. The food was never a highlight of our day... we ate because we were hungry not because the food looked appealing or tasted good. The cocktails were prepared with low quality rum and other liquors. The resort was at best a 2.5 to 3 star , definately not a 5 star hotel. Not enough pool/beach chairs to go around. The beach was nice. The weather was nice. A few of the employees were very nice... the overwhelming majority were rude and not happy to be there. Thumbs down. Iberostar, u let me down.

Nice hotel, close to the beach and restaurants

Pros: We like everything, the staff, food, beach - it was the BEST, the cleanliness, everything. We will be back.
Cons: Cable connection, sometimes it's froze.
Location: We did not leave the resort but it was very close to the malls and village shops.
this is our 13th trip to DR. We were staying in different hotels but this one so far is the best we ever stayed in DR. Loved everything, very close to the beach, all restaurants, lobby, very convenient and not too far walking distance. I was so amazed how clean this resort is. Starting all the public restrooms, beach, restaurants, buildings and sleeping rooms. The staff is so friendly and helpful. At the buffet restaurants staff is paying attention to the people preferences. If you like tea or coffee, water or vine. We felt so pampered at this resort. Fernando and Marsiela, went above a beyond to serve everybody (from buffet restaurant). Food was incredible and fresh everyday. Big variety for everyone taste. I will strongly recommend this resort. For the first couple of days we could not believe what a great hotel we were staying at, we were afraid we would jinx it if we will talk about it. From the beginning, from check in into hotel we loved the staff, they are the BEST!!

I have gone to a couple of all inclusives before and you kind of know what your getting into. This was a tryout for Iberostar seeing that they have one in Cancun and we are going there next year but now not sure about that. First issue is that we arrived at 2:30 with winter travel clothes on of course and as we knew we could not check in until 3:00 we where told to enjoy the buffet which we did. We returned at 3:45 as you can imagine very hot and uncomfortable and was told our room was still not ready. Finally when it was we find that the 2 bed room we asked for was a king size bed and a pullout couch with a very thin mattress. After calling down they said no problem and brought us to a new room now with 3 beds. still not what we asked for but at this point too hot and tired to argue. Biggest issue we had was the dinner reservation policy. They say you can only eat in the restaurants 3 time in a weeks stay which is unexceptable and if you complain enough the will give in but not without having to negotiate the time and what days you can eat where. All other all inclusives I have done we just sat down and did our reservations for dinner for the whole week with on issues. While doing this they also try to get you to go thru a time share pitch. The only other real issues are that in order to getting a set of chairs anywhere near the pool you had to send a family member down before 8am or no go. On the plus side the staff was nice restaurant food was good. I does need updates.

Nice pool and beach

Pros: The location was fine and the tennis courts were fun. Drinks were ok.
Cons: Either curb the number of visitors or get more lawn chairs at the beach. It was ridiculous to get a chair and half the time the chairs went empty.
Location: Location was great!
The room was great, but the food was bland and lacked taste. The check in was a disaster and because they can barely speak English they don't tell you what the problem is. It's like watching a bunch of dysfunctional umpire trying to get the right call. Trying to get dinner reservations for the restaurant was so sketchy that I had a better chance of getting three 777 on their slot machines. The staff tries but they are inconsistent at best. The bartenders were probably the most genuine and sincere people at the entire resort.

Need just a place to sleep this is it.

Pros: The grounds were kept up beautifully and the beach.
Cons: The food. The staff could smile more and try to speak english a little better. Bathrooms near the beach could be open at 6:00 am.
Location: The things to do were great.
The bed was worn to the point of having indentations in it. Pillows not comfortable. The bathroom has rust spots around the tub area. Never was there any type of anything made out of the towels. The garbage cans never had a plastic liner in them. Lets just say we didn't go there for the food.
