"This is always a good choice for family as it is away from the hustle and bustle of the Strip but I will say that the hotel is showing signs of aging and the affordability and amenities has decreased. Food prices are astronomical accept for the very budget friendly Hot dog stand where you can get a Vienna Dog for $1.50 each. Even the “Budget Friendly” Steak and Shake cost us $75 for 2 adults and 3 kids. Baja Miguel’s was the same price even with two people sharing a meal. No kids menus which sucks for families. From our last visit I think the food, bowling and other amenities has rose at least 25-30%. Pool hours were only from 10am-6pm and 30% of the pool was closed because it looks like they didn’t schedule enough life guards. What’s the point of paying a resort fee if the resort is not fully open. Should have at least had access to Hot Tub in the evening. Arcade games were $2-3 for each game which adds up quickly. Bowling cost our family ~$70 for 2 games and thy didn’t have the ramps for kids which also made it hard for younger guests. One nice thing however is that parking was free and the staff was very nice! Overall from our last visit I think that they could do more to accommodate guests with a family and not buckle and fine everyone in food and amenities. "

"Staff was friendly/there was so much to do. Smoke in casino permeated the other areas, making even breakfast unpleasant. Building is older and wear is evident, but things are clean. Pool was amazing!! Clean, fun, well cared for. "

"The location of this hotel to Hoover Dam was great. Although we’re not gamblers, this was a casino with plenty of games. We didn’t eat at the hotel, but our low rating comes from the fact that upon arrival, we found out the pool wasn’t working. Now normally this isn’t a deal breaker, however we specifically chose this place because after a long day of hiking Zion and the fire rocks, we wanted to relax by the pool on a 85 degree day. We’re also from the chilly northeast, and this was something we were longing to do. The check in staff seemed to offer no apologies,no discounts, and no excuses. We literally got a blank stare from her. Had we known earlier, we surely would have chosen another place to stay. On a side note, although the room was spacious, the shower drain had a nice wad of someone else’s hair (Little things like that should never happen). My advice, always check the hotel prior to check in to be sure all the amenities you want are in working order, because this hotel definitely isn’t going to tell you. "
