“service staffs are wonderful, room is spacious with laundry inside. conveniently located to shopping and sceneries. ”

“Great hotel with authentic character and charm. This is a historical property so don't expect the latest amenities, but the staff were very friendly and served a great breakfast. I look forward to staying at the Spencer House again.”

“Great location and great view from the upper porch. If you’re taking the ferry to Cumberland Island, you’ll be right across the street. There is no dedicated parking. They offer a free breakfast but it wasn’t set up one of our two mornings, no one was at the desk to get ice, there was not even a way to get coffee. There were 4 of us- 3 adults and a child. We chose a room with 2 beds- they were full size and the room was very small. We own an old house so we understand the challenges but this……

“The property was clean, but a bit worn. No cups (plastic or paper) were available. The bed was really high and difficult to get into -- very odd. I thought the hot water was broken at first because it took so long to show up. Once it finally arrived it was good. Bar soap and little packets of shampoo, not like most places these days. I felt the room was bit overpriced. Acceptable for a night if better choice unavailable. I have been traveling a bit of late, so I had experience with which to……

“Cozy, charming and conveniently located to downtown. Dogs loved the backyard. We would definitely stay on our next visit.”

“Response was slow, no coffee, tea nor any beverages offered. Door lock brokenNo black out curtains in the roomTrafic noise a little loud”

“Bed sheets and towels did not feel clean with hair from prior use all over it. As soon as we entered there were 2 roaches. At night it was worse. We barely got any sleep as we were nervous about the bugs. In the morning we found one in our bag. We quickly grabbed our stuff and moved everything to the car. We had 2 nights booked, but we ran away after the 1st night a horrible rest. We were visiting Cumberland island that day. We were very tired due to bad sleep and before the ferry took us there……

“I have traveled a lot and this is the worse place I have ever stayed! No human for check in nor anything that says about checking in. Then a sign saying empty trash and strip beds! Are you kidding AFTER a 25 cleaning fee?! Do not book here there are plenty of better around. Oh and remodeled means new floors place is horrible.”

“Absolutely beautiful space! Super clean abdomen thoughtfully decorated!”

“Great location walkable to so much steps away from a great restaurant apartment was clean host was very easy to get a hold of.”

“Loved the home and property. 5 of us stayed and we had had plenty of room and enjoyed hanging out in the dining/living room together. We plan to be back and will stay here again. Great location”

“Very nice and clean with great proximity to surrounding areas. This was our second stay here and wonderful as usual.”
