Were a young couple and took 30 minutes walk to saranda promenade- quite a up hill walk and has alot of character because of residents nearby and cemetery. We always passed a black labrador dog who is really friendly and polite. The room isn’t that modern but has everything you need: Aircon, Smart TV: Netflix/Youtube. The shower pressure is also great. One tip is if you don’t want them to clean your room, tell them directly. Check in was easy, the owner sent the door codes on whatsapp. Breakfast was included a choice of hot or cold, and served at a restaurante around the corner, although it advertises that in summer breakfast is served in the Suites courtyard with a view of the mountains. if arriving by bus into the centre of new town Gjirokaster i recommend taking a taxi to the Old town - for only a few Euros it saves walking up a very steep hill with luggage. There is a bus service from opposite the bus station which drops off near to the Old town and costs 40 leke per journey. A great place to stay for a 2 day trip exploring the Old Town Bazaar and castle.
